A Beachy Fashion

Hello everyone! I hope your Easter is going splendidly.

I spent mine in this fashion—-

Love it. =)

My family is definitely one of those families that does activities on holidays together. So, today the men went golfing and the girls went for a long beach walk! My mom and I walked for an hour and it was wonderful.

I am DEFINITELY a Florida girl.

Before we left, I made a ginormous smoothie concoction to take. I didn’t take a picture beforehand because, well, it wasn’t too pretty but it made all of this!

I used:

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 mango
  • frozen pineapple chunks
  • handful of frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 of a huge avocado
  • 2 cups cold water
  • and a spoonful of THIS magical powder:

I’ve never used this or seen it before but it was in the way back of my freezer…I think it must belong to my dad. He drinks this stuff mixed with water every single morning first thing (bleh?). Any case, the stats for this stuff are pretty amazing and I couldn’t even *really* tell it was in the smoothie. I mean, I could tell a little bit but it is just soooo healthy that the faint grassy/dirt taste didn’t even matter.

And let me tell you, I think I have finally reached smoothie ecstasy with this. Within MINUTES of drinking this 32 oz of smoothie, I felt like I had been shocked with caffeine and energy……I felt wonderful!! So full of energy and life…I swear, I could have run 10 miles right then on the beach. Must have been the green vibrance??! It also filled me up for about 3 hours until I snacked on this bar on the car-ride home:

I’m STILL feeling at the top of my A-Game right now and I’m crediting it all to the smoothie (and trip to the beach, of course). We walked through the lobby of the Don CeSar afterwards and I found A SHOE SALE! No seriously….these amazingly gorgeous pumps were on sale from $70 to $20…..and they only had one size left….my size!

Even Dexter wants them!!!!!!!

I also found some glam sandals that were ridiculously inexpensive as well—

I RARELY buy shoes anymore, which is sad because like any girl, I LOVE THEM! I used to work at a little sandal shop on the beach in high school and the Nordrom’s shoe section has always been my second home. However, when you are a chef and a runner, cute shoes always seem to take second stage to Crocs and running shoes. I desperately needed a good pair of pumps for when I actually leave my cave and go be social with the boy and I was thrilled to find these for 70% off!

I have so much energy right now I am going to go tackle Level 2 of The Shred! I’ve already made the special dessert and it is in the fridge and Margaret and Bella are coming over at 4:30 to join us for Easter dinner.

See you for a recap tonight!

Smoothie looks great! I drink the green vibrance every morning and have been for the past couple of months and it’s AMAZING! I have a lot more energy and it’s cleared up my skin! I really recommend it, it’s a little pricey but worth it.

I had to stop wearing heels after I began training for marathons. I miss them sometimes, but I really like being comfortable as well.
