Breakfast

A Difference in Allegiance

Good morning!

I’m happy to report that I feel a lot better today. I’m no longer achy but my head is still very stuffed up. I’ve been using these Zicam swabs and I think they might be helping! That, and I slept for 9 hours without waking up once last night…thanks to my bed and niquil.

When I woke up this morning I drank this:

I lucked out because this was a free sample in my Shape magazine! Came just in time!

And then I made a waffle sandwich for breakfast

These are Kashi Heart to Heart waffles sandwiched with a tbsp of freshly ground almond butter (my mom got some at Whole Foods! I was so happy to find it!), strawberry jam and a sliced banana.

I’m just relaxing right now with Mikan in my lap. He’s such a lovable lap dog….would be perfectly content just laying in your lap all day! I’m going to take it easy for the majority of the day and then shower up and get ready for the wedding at 3:30. I don’t feel awesome but the wedding is important to Ryan (its his friend from high school that’s getting married) so I really want to go. Hopefully I will feel even better by that point!

The big Bama/Gator game is on today!!!!!!!!! I have always cheered for the Gators in the past, mainly because of association (guilty upon association!) with Ryan and his family. But…..I actually went to school at Bama and am SO EXCITED at how good they are this year! Unfortunately the wedding is right during the game but we are taping it and will watch it later.  So…I won’t actually go and say Roll Tide right now in fear of getting beat up by Gator fans, but let’s just say, let the best team win! 😉

Glad that you’re feeling better! I’ve wanted to try that Vitamin C stuff, but it’s a bit pricey in England. Nice that you got it for free.

    Hi Jenna,
I have just been a lurker from the beginning. But I had to comment since I had the same illness last weekend and used my sample from Shape too. I am glad you are feeling better, it was a very unpleasant illness.

I am a student here at Auburn and while I am pulling for the Gators today (sorry! it’s been shoved into my head my whole life to pull for anyone but the tide! :P), I do want to recognize that Bama has had an amazing season! 🙂

hi jenna! i LIVE for emergenC. so glad to see someone else finding it. i will usually have one after i run b/c i recently learned that running puts a stress on your immune system, so right after a run you are most vulnerable to illness. GOOD LUCK and get better! hope you have fun at the wedding 🙂 catch that bouquet?! hehe.

Zicam is great stuff. I take it as soon as I feel a little bit of a cold coming on and I have not had a bad cold in two years or more.

Oh no, I went to Auburn. Oh well, I’m not the best alum, but I will be rooting for FL today. I love the waffle sandwich. I’d never thought of that before. Looks tasty!
