A Few Of My Favorite Things

by jenna on August 26, 2010

Ten of my favorite things.

IMG_1966

1. Cake. Not ice cream. Cake.

2. Maps and the irony that I have absolutely no directional skills but still love to hang maps all over my walls

3. My pink striped pajama pants that I got from Abercrombie & Fitch (remember them?) when I was fifteen.

4. Dawson’s Creek. (I have trouble letting go of things)

5. Pizza and prosecco.

6. Burgers and champagne.

7. Seal pups.

8. Vintage aprons.

9. Wooden spoons.

10. Bathtubs filled with Italian buttercream.

Cuteness. I also have a thing for maps (love framing them for my walls) and yet zero sense of direction. I still get lost every time I try to go to Saint Paul from Minneapolis…sigh.

Also, agreed on cake, not ice cream. And pizza. I’m adding kittens and sailing boats to the start of my list (which I am mentally forming right now…). Awesome.

I liked Dawson’s Creek, too. I can’t let go of Friends, though.

I can’t believe you still have a pair of pajamas from when you were 15 lol.

I have the same issue with Friends! I wish it were still on. :)

I watch all the re-runs.
Actually…I pretty much only watch re-runs of old shows like Friends, Seinfeld, etc. instead of any of the actual current ones on now…

Bathtubs filled with Italian butter cream? I think I just pinpointed the thing that would make me happiest in the world!

I love that you did a Things I Love list on a Thursday, because every Thursday my friend and I email each other with a list of things we love. We call it Things I Love Thursday, or TiLT.
It’s such a fantastic way to remind ourselves that there are things in the world we love, even if the day or week is sucking.

Um, Dawson’s Creek taught me how to feel.
Sometimes I watch seasons 3 and 4 just to remind myself that Pacey and Joey really were that cute and that Katie Holmes was a person before she married Tom Cruise.
Ah, memories……….. so glad you love it too!

My favorite episode of Dawson’s Creek ever is when Joey and Pacey come back from sailing for the summer and at the end of the episode they sit in the hammock and they read to each other. Love.

I have a pair of pants that I got from Target when I was in the 8th grade, and they still fit, and I STILL love them :) They are full of holes (luckily, not in any place that is inappropriate!) but I think it makes them look sort of retro ;)

Dawson’s Creek was filmed in NC where I went to college and while I was in college. I loved the music from it…it also gave us Joshua Jackson. :)

Chocolate Eclair Cake, so delicious and light tasting.

Love cake…mostly the frosting, but LOVE Dawson’s Creek…didn’t watch it when it first came out, but when my daughter was born in 2004, I watched it (back to back to back episodes) on cable every single morning while nursing or rocking her. I do love the show, but it brings back memories of those first few full of snuggles and love weeks! :)
