Ten of my favorite things.
1. Cake. Not ice cream. Cake.
2. Maps and the irony that I have absolutely no directional skills but still love to hang maps all over my walls
3. My pink striped pajama pants that I got from Abercrombie & Fitch (remember them?) when I was fifteen.
4. Dawson’s Creek. (I have trouble letting go of things)
5. Pizza and prosecco.
6. Burgers and champagne.
7. Seal pups.
8. Vintage aprons.
9. Wooden spoons.
10. Bathtubs filled with Italian buttercream.

Cuteness. I also have a thing for maps (love framing them for my walls) and yet zero sense of direction. I still get lost every time I try to go to Saint Paul from Minneapolis…sigh.
Also, agreed on cake, not ice cream. And pizza. I’m adding kittens and sailing boats to the start of my list (which I am mentally forming right now…). Awesome.
Buttercream baths?
What have I been missing?!
I liked Dawson’s Creek, too. I can’t let go of Friends, though.
I can’t believe you still have a pair of pajamas from when you were 15 lol.
I have the same issue with Friends! I wish it were still on.
I watch all the re-runs.
Actually…I pretty much only watch re-runs of old shows like Friends, Seinfeld, etc. instead of any of the actual current ones on now…
I loooove ice cream cake but not regular cake. Strange!
Bathtubs filled with Italian butter cream? I think I just pinpointed the thing that would make me happiest in the world!
I second that! Sounds perfect
Dawson’s Creek will always be my favorite show.
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…
(kidding!)
Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jen! That is all.
I love that you did a Things I Love list on a Thursday, because every Thursday my friend and I email each other with a list of things we love. We call it Things I Love Thursday, or TiLT.
It’s such a fantastic way to remind ourselves that there are things in the world we love, even if the day or week is sucking.
I love this idea, and have just suggested it to a friend of mine! What an easy way to make you smile!
Pacey will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Girl I’m right there with ya on Dawson’s. I can’t let anything go either. So I’ve been watching the seasons from the start! I need to know – Dawson or Pacey??
Oh Jess, not even a contest… Pacey. It will always be Pacey
Pacey!
I have to say..I’m a Dawson fan. (I have trouble letting things go too)
OH my goodness — there are other grown women in this world who still love Dawson’s Creek??!! Best news I have heard all day! I thought I was alone!
Pacey all the way!!!!
I love this convo!!! Last week my best friend and I watched the episodes when Joey & Pacey were just getting together (3rd season) while we made place cards for her upcoming wedding. PACEY. Seriously, no contest.
I must know, what vendor had those delicious pastries at the farmers market? I’m going there this weekend and will be on a mission to eat those with my blue bottle coffee
Haha cute! Wooden spoons… I have a collection myself
What’s the drink at the top? It looks tasty!
pizza and prosecco for the win!
Um, Dawson’s Creek taught me how to feel.
Sometimes I watch seasons 3 and 4 just to remind myself that Pacey and Joey really were that cute and that Katie Holmes was a person before she married Tom Cruise.
Ah, memories……….. so glad you love it too!
Funny, your #5 and #10 are the same as mine
My favorite episode of Dawson’s Creek ever is when Joey and Pacey come back from sailing for the summer and at the end of the episode they sit in the hammock and they read to each other. Love.
Oh man remember when Dawson’s used to play reruns every morning on TBS? Those were the days!
Screw the bathtub; let’s go for the whole swimming pool
I could ditto all 10 of these! My friends and I were just talking about Dawsons Creek 2 days ago, we can’t let go either!
yes, i love all of these things too…but right now i could particularly go for the persecco and pizza one. or just persecco. so what if it’s before noon?
I’m more of an ice cream person than a cake person myself.
Mmm. Pizza and Prosecco. Who’d a thunk it? Sounds like a combination I’d like to try in the near future.
Where is wine?
I can’t let go of The Golden Girls. Never.Gets.Old.
I totally miss Dawson’s Creek! I was SO pissed that she ended up with Pacey!!!!
I’m loving this list. Prosecco, pizza, and italian buttercream bathtubs sounds fantastic.
I definitely missed a few classes in college when TBS used to show back to back episodes of Dawson’s…
Ah I kinda secretly wish Pacey and Joey were a couple in real life today!(sorry Tom Cruise!)
They were the couple you rooted for in a dreamy way
I’m so with you on the maps things. I don’t know why, but I could stare at maps all day long. Maybe I’m not so weird afterall, or we are both just weird
I have a pair of pants that I got from Target when I was in the 8th grade, and they still fit, and I STILL love them
They are full of holes (luckily, not in any place that is inappropriate!) but I think it makes them look sort of retro
Wow I used to LIVE for Dawson’s Creek!
Cake is amazing. And sense of direction? What is that?
Am I crazy or did you once post a list of your favorite cookbooks?
I love the list!
I donned some pink striped pj pants from high school all day yesterday when I was sick. I think they helped me feel better.
Champagne & burgers? That combo just shouts your personality!
I own every season of Dawson’s Creek. I will never let it go. I am not ashamed!
Dawson’s Creek was filmed in NC where I went to college and while I was in college. I loved the music from it…it also gave us Joshua Jackson.
Love them all too! Except I do love ice cream, I have a weakness for rich, chocolate-y, peanut butter infused ice cream. And please elaborate on buttercream baths! Really?!
Yes. Correct. Cake, not ice cream. I’m with you.
Awesome list. I completely agree about cake, couldn’t care less about ice cream if cake is anywhere nearby. I have never had pizza and prosecco. Time to give it a try?
I choose not to choose…have my ice cream with cake on the side
I was sure the picture at the top was kir! Is it? That’s one of the few drinks (alcoholic) that I actually like the taste of. I tried it when I was studying abroad in Paris.
What a great list – I would have a hard time narrowing down my favorite but I think you did a good job. Except I like cake AND icecream!
I can’t let go of Sex and the City and Friends!
Chocolate Eclair Cake, so delicious and light tasting.
Fluffy puppies
Joshua Jackson (Pacey) is now on Fringe, and he is still amazing!
Maple Butter Blondies
Super fuzzy over-sized sweatshirts
Anything pertaining to Fall; changing leaves, cool breezes, etc.
Re #4. I recently asked my husband if he would still love me if I started collecting the Dawson’s Creek series on DVD. He said he would think about it.
Warm blackberry cobbler with Bluebell Homemade Vanilla ice cream.
Gilmore Girls.
Boys who cook you dinner.
ditto all of the above!! (minus the cake thing…i love ice cream cake!!)
I’m totally with you on #8. Love vintage aprons. Also, I adore and collect vintage cookbooks! I love my modern gadgets in an otherwise throwback kitchen.
Prosecco is one of my favorite things on planet Earth! I love it with raspberries or blackberries like that, but best with elderflower liquer.
Loved Dawson’s Creek. Man that brings me back to high school and the mass amounts of IMing my entire school would do when the show ended. As in: OMG I <3 Pacey. And: Jen = Jerk.
Oh fun, I want to do one too:
1. Avocadoes
2. Spicy tuna rolls
3. Asti Spumante
4. Saved by the Bell and the original 90210
5. Globes
6. kayaking
7. Peanut butter
8. Hot tubs
9. Chai lattes (they make me happy)
10. Tigers
11. My fat cat Oliver
Haha. I love how burgers and champagne are one item. Keepin it classy!
My list would be very similar!
Love this list. And I love just about everything *on* this list. Like cake. And pizza. And vintage aprons. Love!
My freshman year of college i watched 2 (yes 2) episodes of Dawson’s Creek everyday. I do not regret it.
I would like burgers, champagne, AND Dawson’s Creek. Right now. Thanks.
I’m on the fence about wooden spoons.
Love cake…mostly the frosting, but LOVE Dawson’s Creek…didn’t watch it when it first came out, but when my daughter was born in 2004, I watched it (back to back to back episodes) on cable every single morning while nursing or rocking her. I do love the show, but it brings back memories of those first few full of snuggles and love weeks!
Great list jenna!
Cake and ice cream is the way to goo!
My sister and her best friend used to skip Church Catechism classes in favor of watch Dawson’s Creek. Dawson and Joey forever, Amen.
brownies. gooier the better. or molten chocolate cake. sense a pattern?
I totally miss my favorite TV shows too. In fact, I have to admit I have reruns of Roseanne playing in the background.
