Good times, great friends! And how I do heart Teavana and Urban Outfitters, both of which we do not have in Healdsburg. I also went to the BEACH today and it was glorious. I brought a 6 inch veggie sub from subway with me and ate it while staring out at the waves (along with a grapefruit from christie’s kitchen). How crazy to be looking at the Pacific one day and the Atlantic the next. The Pacific is crazy beautiful but the Atlantic will always have my heart…
Later in the afternoon, I ate half an apple (it was mushy) and drank this shake from christie’s fridge. Wasn’t half bad but the ingredient list sure was long!
And then Christie and I met our friend, Jessie, for dinner at Basil, my FAVORITE Thai restaurant on the face of the earth. I haven’t seen Jessie for 8 YEARS!!!!!!! There was a moment of silence tonight at dinner when we realized our high school reunion was in 2 years???! How does that happen?? Romy and Michelle’s high school reunion anyone??! ๐
We shared the basil spring rolls:
And I had what I always have—-Basil Tofu. I’ve never ordered anything else. This dish is perfect ๐
Delicious. I ate every drop and washed it down with a glass of merlot + Riesling.
Time to hop in bed and read. See you tomorrow!

April 6, 2010 at 5:10 amHeck, just give me any ocean and I’m happy. I love the ocean, and yet I’ve never lived close to it. My year in MD was probably the closest I ever lived to an ocean.
I haven’t tried Teavana teas yet . . . everytime I stop at the store they always seem really busy chatting to each other, not so much into serving people.
Some of the flavors sound awesome, but I’m picky about my tea.

April 6, 2010 at 7:05 amJenna – I was wondering when you go on vacation like this do you continue to work out or alter your normal eating habits to make up for the fact that you don’t work out? I always have trouble when I go on little vacations – especially when I go home because there is so much good food around and I just want to fully relax all day every day!

April 6, 2010 at 7:22 amUrban Outfitters is one of my top stores, too. e do have one here, but it’s incredibly inconvenient to park around it, so I always hit it up when I’m in other cities.
