A Little Too Small

This afternoon I went to another yoga class. This one was a “flow” class and was filled with vinyasas, chatarungas and pretzel twisting postures. I loved it! I always feel my best right after a yoga class. All refreshed and ready to take on whatever comes my way. Late this afternoon, about an hour before yoga, I snacked on a carrot cake cupcake to fuel me for my practice.

When I got home I was trying so hard to wait for Ryan to eat dinner, but he didn’t end up getting here until 8:30….so I just couldn’t wait! I made a big spinach salad with carrots and cucumbers and heated up the Amy’s roasted vegetable pizza. I also had a glass of French red wine. All I can say is WOW! The pizza was SOOOO freakin’ good! But soooooo freakin’ tiny! I could have eaten two of those tiny pizzas…probably even three of them! I relished every bite though and when I was done, instead of raiding my cabinets for more food, I took Mikan for a long walk. We ended up walking for about 45 minutes and I think it was the favorite part of my day. I just really really really love to walk. More than anything, I miss living in a walking city like Charleston, where I walked everywhere I went. Ryan makes fun of me, but when I’m here on the weekends I always walk wherever I can, even if its to the grocery store or to run errands. Why drive when its walking distance and the weather is perfect!? Um hi, an instant workout! Anyways, Mikan and I walked down neighborhood streets around 8:00, just as the sun was about to go down. There was a light breeze and the houses were all so cute. I love looking at houses—I guess its in my blood. Both of my parents are in the real estate market so I’ve grown up around it all.

When I got home from my long walk, Ryan was here waiting for me and I enjoyed yet another carrot cake cupcake while he ate leftover pizza from the other night. I think we might watch some tv or just read tonight. I bought the new Jodi Picoult novel today and I’m dying to get into it!

Being able to walk everywhere would be SO nice. I hate my location because most stuff is just too darn far away to conveniently walk to and have the time to do so. If most places were within decent walking distance I would definitely walk everywhere, I love walking!

And PS the pedicure looks AWESOME. I love the colour!

Make sure you let us know how the Jodi Picoult book is! Her books are normally really good, so I’d like to know if this one’s worth reading as well!

Glad that you had a relaxing yoga class, and walk with Mikan!!

As for the pizza – I ALWAYS “beef it up” with extra vegetables, since the pizza IS tiny.

Yes, looking at houses IS quite fun :0)

    Enjoy your Tuesday evening!

I totally agree about the pizzas! The regular sized one looks like a personal pizza!!!

I am SO glad that everyone agrees about the size of those pizzas! I love them too but agree they are tiny and not filling enough – and I think the mini ones are technically two servings!!!

I just read the new Jodi Picoult book a month ago. It’s Change of Heart, right? So good.

Those KAshi pizza’s are really small I agree – but adding a salad always helps! Sounds like you had a wonderful night.

I made the carrot cupcakes/muffins yesterday, sooooo good. I will be making them again & again.

I have a question about VeganRella I picked some up the other day for the first time and when I opened it, it was slimy. Is this normal?

I recently discovered Jodie Picoult but i really like her as well! I’m right in the middle of Plain Truth and it’s my favorite so far- I can’t put it down!

By the way, did you read Jumpha Lahiri’s new one? What did you think?

    MLT,

I was halfway through it but gave it to my mom to take on the airplane with her to Wisconsin because she didn’t have anything to read. it was fabulous though. REALLY good. I thought it would be good for her to take because they are just stories–something she could just pick up and read one of if she had time while staying with my grandmother. You should def. get this book. Its worth it. I can’t wait to finish it!

    Bree,

I honestly don’t know! I only used VeganRella once…I usually use FYH cheese because its less “gooey” than veganrella. I would post your question on Romina’s blog because she loves the stuff! Her blog is http://www.veganforone.wordpress.com

    Tina,

The recipe is from Lindsay’s blog: http://www.happyherbivore.blogspot.com
