Early this morning, my dad sent me some old family photos that he scanned in. Before we say anything at all about the helmet head bangs on the ridiculously good looking girl above, let’s talk about dress.
The dress that led to a lifelong obsession with food.
The fruit dress.
Now this photo is special. It was taken right before my parents were married, in their matching fancy TWA uniforms. They lovingly refer to that time together as “BK”, or “before kids” when they carefreely traveled around the globe together.
They were models, too. Can’t you tell?
Here I am with my beloved first puppy, Belmont. Note that I grew out of my orange skin tone.
Oh, and this? I have no idea who this is. No idea at all.

I wish that an electronic care package arrived in my inbox with all kinds of old “real” pictures scanned in…oh, what a FABULOUS gift!
The nightmare that is my actual, real, non-digital photographs from my childhood….well, one day, one day, I’d like to get them digitalized.
Til then, I can admire yours. I love these! And the fruit dress and your amazing looking parents, too!

May 23, 2011 at 9:19 pmActually, now that I think about it, the photo with your arms draped over the warning of killer alligators with bangs in tact and dress pristine–is incredibly sangfroid. Yes, you’re blond and beautiful…but that just screams watch-it. hehehe.
Tasha @ Voracious
May 23, 2011 at 11:21 pmADORABLE! I’m such a sucker for old family photos. You, by the way, are a perfect combination of your mom and dad. I can see how you look like both of them!

And I so had the bangs too! Only mine were thin and whispy and they’d curl right up as soon as the weather became humid, wet, or warm. It was a very classy looking phase in my life…. 😉
Molly @ RDexposed
May 24, 2011 at 4:46 amWhat girl didn’t have horrible bangs as a young girl? It’s almsot a right of passage during childhood.

May 24, 2011 at 1:26 pmDon’t you love how you can see a picture of yourself as a kid in a certain outfit and memories come flooding back? Everything you ever did in that dress with the pink cheetahs, purple jellies, or rainbow striped jumper(thanks mom?!) flashes through…..ok maybe not EVERYTHING…..but a lot!
