Jenna,
can you please please share the coding (or the site where you found) for the on your bookshelf gadget? I would LOVE to add it to my blog!
Speaking of my blog, now that you’re home and back to cooking and baking, I’ve got a MUST TRY recipe I posted today. I’m pretty sure you’d love it!!
Jenna, your photographs are amazing…and I love your hair…and I want one of those salted caramels right about NOW! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us
Love the pics! My husband and I also took a weekend trip – down to San Diego. We just moved to northern California in September, and we’re having a great time exploring this state!
My fiance and I just had to cancel our big honeymoon this week due to finances and instead decided to spend four nights in Monterey/Carmel. Looking through your pictures has made me so much more excited for it! Thanks for sharing and igniting my excitement!
It dawned on me last night, when I was watching “What Happens In Vegas,” that you totally look like Cameron Diaz. You probably get that a lot, but I thought I’d share my revelation, haha.
You’ve conveyed the mystical ambiance of Carmel more than any other photographs I’ve seen. Just breathtaking. And the feeling of living history here. Love the seagulls so much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDbToBxhZUo
I LOVE your photographs and always look forward to these photo recaps from your trips, etc. It is a bit slow to click through the full size images (not sure if there is any way around that…besides speed my connection somehow!?) but otherwise, I love the way you are able to present all your amazing shots on the blog this way.
I can’t believe you went to Casanova! I worked there for about a year before I went to culinary school, so it holds a very special place in my heart.
And good choice on the gnocchi, it’s a signature on the menu and fun to make . Did you get to see the van gogh table and/or wine cellar while you were there?
Do you have any idea how to make that Gnocchi – It is by far my most favorite out to eat treat – we just came from Carmel this weekend – had it for lunch on Friday and am determined to learn how to make it.
Jenna,
Your pictures are gorgeous! You may have a future career in photography on the side.
I have my Savannah wellness blog up and running….finally! Go check it out if you get a moment. ***Send it to your parents…I’ll be posting lots of local food/wellness events there. Hope to catch up with you next time you get back down south.

hi jenna! i have been reading for almost 2 years, but this is my first time commenting. i just wanted to tell you that i LOVE the direction you’ve taken your blog over the past six months or so. when i first found food blogs, i was struggling with food and exercise. i am in a much healthier (re: saner) place now, and i feel like your blog has grown with me. thank you for continuing to write and share!
Hi Jenna – I’m trying to figure out why I dislike my camera so much (Nikon D80), I’m starting to think it’s the lens I’m using. Your photos are really great, what kind of camera + lens did you use for these? I think I need something like an f/ 1.4, perhaps.
thank you! A Nikon D80 is a GREAT camera though!!! I use a Canon Rebel Xsi and often a variety of lenses….I think we used a combination of my 60 mm macro lens, an f/1.4 and a 17-200 zoom lens for these photos.
How did you like Casanova?! I’m planning a trip out that way to see my brother and when I was searching restaurants that one was at the top of my list!!
ahh! you went to carmel! my friend has been telling me how gorgeous it is over there and your pictures definitely don’t lie.
it sounds like you had a glorious time. i love, love all your pictures, but i think the one that stood out for me the most was the mango iced tea in mason jars one. simply beautiful!
Jenna, I love your pictures of Carmel! My friends and I just got back from there last weekend for a girls trip. Casanova was amazing!!! We loved the quaint little restaurant and the food was delicious. Thank you for sharing!

If you love the mango iced tea and are ever back in Charleston the new restaurant on King Street, Boones, has a delicious one!
Lovely pictures, as always! And love the yellow plaid shirt — Target, right? I have the same one and it’s my current favorite thing to wear!
