All Good Things

Happy humpday!
I have a tres busy day in front of me. About to go knock out 30 miles on the bike then have to rush to shower, get ready, and meet Marcy for our last workshop before my first draft is due next Thursday! Then, from there, rushing to the yoga studio to work the desk till 6. All good things though
Speaking of good things….
I may or may not have spotted this just about empty peanut butter jar at Adam and Rocky’s house and snagged it just for this purpose. Muhahahaha
I used 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup almond milk, 1 T ground flax, a banana, a little raspberry jam and a little almond butter on top. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about.

Time to get crackin’!!! I wish the weather was nicer outside. Hopefully it won’t rain on me while I’m on my bike.

Last day for
Lucie’s super cute hats-–winner will be picked this eve!

Hi guys!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday
. I had a great Bikram class then had the pleasure of eating lunch with the fabulous BethT and her hubby as they celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary! I took them to the lovely Healdsburg establishment ofCharcuterie!
I ate lunch here when I first moved to the area a couple months ago and literally have been thinking about the awesome smoked chicken salad ever since. It did not disappoint today!
The salad has mixed greens, smoked chicken breast, jicama, mango slices and grapefruit in it…all tossed in a dijon dressing. Really, really yummy!
And ummm yeah…….I may or may not have already broken my “no coffee for the month rule” because, well, Beth had never had Flying Goat (the horror!!!!) and she
made me order a bittersweet mocha with her after we ate.

Geez Beth, what a bad influence.
Later in the afternoon I snacked on some squash while I cleaned out my car and my casa:
And then had an early dinner of….almond butter and jelly before going to Church.
Don’t know guys..I was just reallyyyyyyy craving this for dinner. And it tasted SO good to me!
You know what else tasted really (really!) good?!
Um yeah. This would be a
RAW almond joy from
Cafe Gratitude. It’s made with coconut butter, dehydrated coconut flakes, agave, raw almonds and raw chocolate. It was probably one of the best things I’ve
ever had and now I’m addicted. Note to self: figure out how to make these at home. Stat. That might be dangerous though……they are SOOOOO good!!!!!
I’m exhausted.

I always forget to use my Almond Butter jars! ugh!
I love that it’s just a random part of your day to cycke 30 MILES!! Mental lol! If I did that in a week I’d be pleased

Have a wonderful day Jenna! I love how the smallest things make you happy!
I think I will make a batch of steel cut oats tonight for an easy breakfast the next few days! And maybe some Kodiak cookies!
Hope the 30 mile ride went well and the weather held out!!
I love that something as simple as an empty PB jar can make the BEST of days! My friends dont understand when I get excited about things like this….but I love it!!!
I think I asked before…but do you like working at the studio?
Are you able to write during that time?? Or is it busy?
i like how you topped the oiaj with more almond butter
Yumm!
Jenna
I gave up nut butters for Lent and I have an almost empty Jif jar just WAITING for me!!! It’s been SOOOOO hard. But that’s what the sacrifice is all about, right?
Yum. I really, really need to try oats in a jar!
Your breakfast reminded me that I have a OIAJ ready jar of Blue Diamond Honey Almond butter in my pantry that will be eaten ASAP. Hope you have a great (DRY) bike ride!
Adam’s house…hmmm…when will you admit you’re dating him? (You’ve had some telling tweets)
I secretly love Jif and Skippy and Peter Pan peanut butter. Ahhh, it tastes like frosting!
Are the oats in the jar just overnight oats, or do you heat it up? If you heat it up, don’t you worry about the plastic leeching into your food?
I stopped using plastic in my microwave (altho I do still use my microwave — occasionally) long before it became “cool”. Just like I started using canvas bags at the grocery store about 20+ years ago.
Just wondering . . .
