Happy Friday!!
I’m in a great mood this morning…you should be too! 🙂 I just can’t even believe how many of you want Clean Food!!!! I seriously think that this has been my most popular giveaway ever and I wish I had copies to give to each one of you. However, the big winner is……………
TRISHA! Trisha wrote: “Roasted sweet potato french fries!!!!!! This book looks like so much fun!!” Congrats, Trisha! Please shoot me your mailing address and I’ll have your book right out to you!
I had a great Friday breakfast!
I used my absolute favorite pancake mix (Kodiak Cakes!) to make one large pancake using 1/2 cup mix and 1/2 cup water. I topped the giant ‘cake with a sliced banana, a bit of plain Chobani, a packet of barney butter and some of this…..
Delia, one of my fabulous readers, sent me this Maple Blueberry Drizzle straight from Vermont and boy, is it ever delicious! I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to regular maple syrup again after this stuff. The only ingredients are blueberries, pure maple syrup, cane sugar and lemon juice and……its sooooooo good! Thank you, Delia!!!
I’m off to a power yoga class. Catch ya in a bit!

September 4, 2009 at 8:41 amJenna, you should try adding pumpkin to your pancakes! I tried with waffles the other day and while I wish I had used pumpkin pie filling, not plain pumpkin with copious amounts of cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice, they’re not bad!
Jen (Running With Cake)
September 4, 2009 at 8:55 amHi Jenna! I can just imagine that blueberry topping in my homemade oatmeal, on a waffle, or maybe on vanilla ice cream! Wow, so many possibilities! Too bad I’m in Chicago and not on the East Coast! Have a great yoga class.

September 4, 2009 at 12:11 pmFantastic looking breakfast! A pancake with toppings, in substitution for oats — nice colorful idea. Hah, with the addition of pumpkin to the pancakes, as one reader suggested, all food groups would be covered!

September 4, 2009 at 2:53 pmHey Jenna,
I just read your article on how to prevent the flu and thought I’d throw in my two cents. I’ve had the H1N1 flu for the past week and a half and the main symptom that I’ve never had before with other flues was difficulty breathing… I had a lot of trouble inhaling and exhaling and never felt like I could take a full breath. My Mom had it too, and even had to go to the ER to get oxygen (she has an underlying condition which made the flu symptoms worse). I’m not sure how I got it — I wash my hands a lot and make sure not to rub my eyes/nose/face… but my doctor told me this is an extremely contagious flu and it’s very easy to get it, so who knows.
