Our local one opens next weekend and I can’t wait. We have a winter one but it’s almost 30 minutes away, so the local one (5 minutes from home) is where it’s at! Reply Brenna [fabuleuxdestin] April 30, 2011 at 12:26 pm Love it! I wish I had better farmer’s markets near me. Reply Errign April 30, 2011 at 12:35 pm I wish it was farmer’s market time in New Hampshire. Counting down the days until my Asheville, NC move – any recommendations for things to do/see in AVL? Reply Elena April 30, 2011 at 12:36 pm I live in Miami, so we do have markets open pretty much year round, although I’m ashamed to say I haven’t gone yet! I’m dying to go! Don’t leave me hanging 😉 Do you live close to your Market’s? Walking distance? And did you have them where you lived in FL? (P.S – can you get function on your blog where if you respond it’s emailed to the commenter? KERF recently got it – and it’s nice to know (and remember!) if you answered a question or whatever. No big deal – just wondering! Reply Krystina (Organically Me) April 30, 2011 at 1:24 pm There are actually lovely farmer’s markets down in Florida. I miss the one(s) in Orlando/Winter Park lots. 🙁 Reply Baking 'n' Books April 30, 2011 at 3:50 pm I’ve never been at all :(…in Canada. Would love to visit – LIVE – in the States one day. Agreed about the FM though – there are a few here – but they’re all far from where I live. They are pricey too surprisingly. Reply Nicole April 30, 2011 at 1:23 pm Love the color contrast of the purple cabbage and green onions in photo 6! Reply Meghan @ StruggleMuffins April 30, 2011 at 1:43 pm Love the pic of the grumpy dog! April 30, 2011 at 1:58 pm One thing I love so much about living in San Francisco is the year round Farmers Market! I love learning about which fruits and vegetables are in season and understanding the rhythm of the seasons. All of the sights, smells, tastes, and sounds of the FM are remarkable. This one looks particularly beautiful! Reply alex April 30, 2011 at 2:02 pm I love famers markets. We have so many here in the area. I love the food and the gorgeous flowers! I have 4 markets within reasonable driving distance (one practically down the street) and it’s so fun to hop around the different markets to see all the different vendors. There’s also such a great energy at the markets. 🙂 What dish was in photo 6?? Looks delish!
