Baby Its Cold Outside

Oops! In my delirious state last night, I accidentally put up the wrong yoga class link! Here is the free 70 minute one that I did yesterday and HIGHLY recommend! Sorry about that! 🙂

I’m totally refreshed after a nice 9 1/2 hours of sleep. I’m staying at Ryan’s for the weekend because my aunt is sleeping in my bed at home and last night I got into bed and was dead asleep within 10 minutes (before 9:00! haha). Poor Ryan had to go out in the other room and do work while I slept on.

I know you all are about to laugh when I say this but ITS COLD OUT HERE!!!!!!!!!! I just checked the weather and its 40! I know its nothing like Chicago or Milwaukee but still. For us Floridians, its pretty darn cold. Being so, I took the opportunity to make pancakes in bed this morning! Here’s the mix I used:

We didn’t have any eggs or milk so I just used water and a tbsp of canola oil to mix with but I DID find a couple tiny packets of Barney Butter buried deep inside the cabinet that I must have forgot about! Ryan and I each had 2 1/2 pancakes (it only made 5) and I topped mine with barney butter and pure maple syrup 🙂

I had a cup of hot water while making pancakes and after I ate I had a mug of this tea:

I’m off to yoga! See you for lunch!

It’s about 6 degrees in Western NC – but my old house loses heat like crazy! We’re going to the Keys in two weeks – it better be warm enough for camping!

    Hi Jenna,

It’s cold here in Houston too!! I highly dislike it, except for the snuggling in front of the fire part. 🙂 Just curious- how did your pancakes turn out without the eggs and milk?

      Kelly,

They turned out fine because the mix I used is one of those “complete mixes” with buttermilk powder already in it. I think using milk makes the pancake fluffier though!

Yum – pancakes. Great b’fast for a cold morning. It was 9 degrees here in Nashville. I can’t believe that I’m typing this, but 40 sounds so warm! At least I got some sweat on with a 6 AM Hot Yoga class. Glad you got plenty of sleep. Have a great weekend – Happy Graduation Jenna!

Hey Jenna, I was just wondering how you like Barney Butter? I’ve been considering ordering the packets off their website and I’m just wondering if it’s as great as everyone says it is. Thanks for the input ahead of time!

I like it but I like regular chunky whole foods or MaraNatha chunky roasted almond butter BETTER!

As good as those pancakes were, you should check out the recipe for homemade oatmeal pancakes I posted on my site earlier this week – they are from scratch and out of this world! Best pancakes I have had in a LONG time, and I make pancakes every other weekend, previously from mix but never again!
