Happy Mother’s Day to all you mamas out there!
I’m Dexter’s mama—does that mean I get something special today, too?!
My son is furry and chubby. Oh well.
This morning my alarm went off at 6:45 so I could get stuff done before heading over and picking up my mom for our special yoga class. I had a delicious bowl of overnight oats to fuel me for the morning!
Major yum! I soaked 1/2 cup oats in 1/2 cup water with a pinch of sea salt + cinnamon last night and then this morning added 1/2 cup 2% Fage (holy yum!), 1 scoop raw almond butter, 1 sliced banana and a drizzle of maple syrup!
I’m about to go pack our picnic lunch and head out the door. Go call your mom. Yes, you!

Is it just me or has Dexter gotten chubbier recently? 🙂 Anyways, I need some advice from you and the fellow blog readers: I am planning to take my fist spinning class tomorrow. I am not good on the bike at all, can’t last more than 15 minutes…. so is this a wise thing to do? Also, any tips on what I should expect? Shoes etc? Thanks so much. I also want to say again, that I love you blog and appreciate u sharing your life with us.

May 10, 2009 at 10:50 amHaha my BF wished me “happy mother’s day”–we have a dog. I was expecting breakfast in bed from my “child,” but all I got was some cuddling and licks to the face. I’ll take it 🙂

May 10, 2009 at 8:34 pmDid you just soak regular oats? I’ve been wanting to eat raw oatmeal, but I’m really unsure of how to do it and what oats to use…If you could let me know that would be SO appreciated 🙂

May 10, 2009 at 10:48 pmHaving fur children totally counts as being a mother! Sometimes they seem like more work than the human kind!
