Back At It

It’s Tuesday but does it feel like Monday to anyone else besides me?! The good news is that we have a short week though! This morning I woke up early (thanks to Dexter meowing in my ear) and hit the gym for some cardio. Today I just stuck to the treadmill and did a 20 minute cardio workout, running for 15 minutes and speed walking on a steep incline for 5 minutes. When I got back I made the ultimate bowl of oats using 1/3 cup oats, 1/4 cup wheatberries, soymilk, dried cherries, the other half of my banana from this morning, peanut butter and drizzled with agave nectar. It hit the spot.

I got fun things at the store last night like new bread and cherries so I incorporated both in my lunch today. I packed a spinach/honey mustard/tofurky sandwich and a baggie of ripe, sweet cherries. For a snack later I packed a peach and a small baggie of Annie’s cinnamon bunnies (I snacked on a small bowl of these later last night as well—they are quite addicting!).

Good luck back at work (or school!) today. It’s always a challenge after a fun, long weekend but we can do it!

    Veggie girl,

another reader posted a question asking how you check every blog everyday and I was kinda wondering the same. I only check a few blogs but the few times I will click into other random ones you always have a comment there too. I would imagine that takes a lot of time.

    Molly,

I’m not veggiegirl but I know how she does it and its actually very cool: she has rss feed and when she goes onto her homepage on the internet all the blogs she subscribes to pops up with their latest headline posts. That way she can see all the latest posts from all her favorite blogs without even having to go to each blog individually. Its becoming pretty popular to do it that way!

It DOES feel like Monday!! I still can’t fathom the fact that it’s Tuesday already…

Wow, your oats look BEYOND creamy – yum!!

Ahh, peaches & cherries = two fruits that I’ve missed so much, and have been enjoying everyday recently (since they’re at their peak right now).

I agree, it does feel like Monday! But I don’t go to school or work, so I’m just at home reading, watching TV, etc.. just doing what my heart desires. I love summer!

Oh, those cherries look so good! I’ve been wanting some badly, but I always find they are a bit over my reach (financially speaking). Hopefully, I can splurge on some soon.

    Have a great day, Jenna!

I’ve had that bread before, it’s really good. Similar to Ezekiel and I think cheaper!

Today does feel like Monday to me as well, and yesterday felt like Sunday. I’ll be mixing up my days all week!

Jenna, will you let us know what you think of that bread? I always see it and contemplate buying it at the grocery store. Thanks! Have a nice day!

I bought Tofurky for the first time yesterday. I also got an avocado. I’m having it for lunch today so I’ll let you know what I think. But you were my total inspiration!!

It definitely feels like a Monday…gotta love the short weeks, though!

Those cherries look fantastic! I’m hoping they go on sale around here soon.

    Hi Jenna,

Love your blog! I’m from CA. I’m headed to Sarasota this Thursday for vaca, but I hear it will be thunderstorming the entire week after I get there! Do you find that weather predictions are usually accurate in your area? Just wondering if there’s even a glimmer of hope for sun! 🙁 Thanks!
