Baking with Kim

Today was the last day of the Creative and Mindful Cooking Workshop…does that mean I have to go home tomorrow? I don’t want to go home!

This morning we had a chance to work with Kim, the executive pastry chef at Miraval. Kim went to the Cordon Bleu school in Scottsdale, so we chatted a bit about baking, pastry and prune puree, which is apparently a great substitution for butter in some high-fat recipes.

And learn some of the tips and secrets for healthy desserts. It was awesome!

    your whole experience there really seems like a bit of heaven… certainly right up my ally. Don’t worry about working out- you are on vacation. It’s not like you eat multiple desserts every single day…

    food looks absolutely amazing! I’m not quite so talented, but love learning new things in the kitchen. the berry cup at the end did it for me. simple yet delicious, thats my rule to live by! thanks for posting!
