Barre3 Challenge {Giveaway!}

December 26th

You guys know by now how much I love barre3 online workouts! I completely credit them to helping me stay in shape during pregnancy and bounce back after. I haven’t gotten to go to a real live yoga class in forever, so right now barre is the only exercise {other than lugging my heavy baby around} that I’m doing right now. And for those of you who don’t believe you can get a real workout at home….just try it!! I squeeze in 30 minute online workouts during naptime and feel better all day. I have definitely seen results postpartum from doing this form of exercise and I absolutely stand behind it in any way, shape or form.

All that is why I’m excited to announce a new challenge that barre3 is bringing! I’ll be participating in this challenge and hope y’all will too. Starting January 5th, barre3 is hosting a four-week, results-oriented Challenge that includes barre3 workouts, healthy recipes, and unprecedented support from their founder Sadie Lincoln and her team of experts. Every week participants will:

-Do four 60-minute workouts either at one of our local studios or online in your living room {that’s me}.

-Do one 10-minute online workout

-Try one healthy barre3 recipe

I think it’s a great way to ring in the new year and we could all use a little shaping up post-holiday, right?

ELR 2

When you sign up for the Challenge, you get a lot of goodies! Think of it as a challenge swag bag including a personal tracking system, a barre3 Challenge glass water bottle, a barre3 Challenge tote, weekly Challenge emails, direct support from barre3 Founder Sadie Lincoln via Live Q+A sessions, educational podcasts, and more. Oh, and you also will get weekly 10-minute online workouts and weekly seasonal recipes. I can personally vouch for the recipes. I hear they are pretty good. 😉

Now for the giveaway!

Three winners will receive unlimited access to barre3’s exclusive Challenge, one month of free online workouts, plus barre3’s signature Challenge kit {note what’s included in that above}.

It’s a pretty awesome way to get started! I seriously don’t know where I’d be without barre3. It really is incredible and the team behind it is made up of wonderful people who I consider my friends.

my goals for 2015 is to become a faster, stronger runner. I was elated when I set a new PR this year, crushing my previous time by almost 5 min. I know I owe a lot of that to the barre3 videos I did several times a week. I hope to continue using barre3 as a method of cross training and building stronger legs so that my time can continue to drop.

With two little ones, it is hard to find the time and walking outside doesn’t happen as much anymore because of the cold weather! My new year’s goal is to get into shape by sticking to a regular routing. I bought a pretty new calendar so I can schedule my workouts (and meals in advance). I’m turning 40 at the end of next year and I want to look hot! Barre is something that I’ve always been interested in but have been too shy to try an in-person class. The online workouts sound right up my alley!

I’ve done two barre3 classes and really enjoyed them! I am out of shape so each time I did one, the next day was a little rough but well worth it.

My new year’s resolution is to get active. Period. Simple but I feel like my office job and how exhausted I am when I get home just can’t be excuses anymore. I am hoping to take some fitness classes during the week in addition to walk/runs on the weekends.

My fitness goal is to get back in a regular routine! I have a 10-month-old and a 2.5 year old, and was always very active (dance, running, gym) prior to having kids. I still teach Zumba once a week, and we go for family walks when it’s nice outside, but considering it’s Wisconsin in wintertime, I need some incentive to get into our basement for online or DVD workouts at the end of a long day at work!

      December 18, 2014 at 1:18 pm

And my fitness goals for next year are to increase the number of barre classes I get to a month. I too credit the system for helping me bounce back post-baby, and now that my daughter is 16 months old, I’m surprisingly (and without any intent) 8 pounds under my pre-baby weight which has been such a welcome surprise! I was a yogi for years and all during my pregnancy, and I was so humbled by how little core strength I had when I started back to working out. I know regular yoga and the addition of barre have helped me to feel even better than I did before I was pregnant!

My main goal is to create something everyday. I’m keeping the definition of “create” broad to include things like art and music and writing, yes, but also creating healthy and interesting meals, and creating a healthy mind and body. My hope is that these things that all feed my soul will become second nature.

Also, I work out exclusively at home so this would be fun to mix in. I have tried some barre before and definitely noticed results quickly.

My fitness goal is to get back to the barre…somehow. I’ve been a pure barre devotee, and I’ll be so happy to see my girls at my home studio when I can, but having delivered my son 5 days ago (!!!!) that visit is many weeks (months?) off. Maybe barre3 home workouts will be the answer for me 🙂

  • Leah

I am almost 15 weeks pregnant and am finally feeling like I have enough energy to begin working out again(I have done about 2 yoga classes and have been squeezing in shorter than usual walks since my last “real” workout, a spin class, right around 5 1/2 weeks just before my nausea and extreme fatigue set in!) My new year goal is to get back into being more physically active and preparing myself for the very physical task of labor!!

    My goals for 2015 are:
    1. Get back on the “eat real food” wagon-no more processed junk-even if it’s homemade (Christmas cookies-I’m giving you the stink eye!)
    2. Lose the last of the baby weight by the time the “baby” is 18 months (or even 20 mo)
    3. Buy, cook, and consume 80% whole foods that come from the farm, produce dept, or butcher and not bagged in a factory-for the adults and just as importantly, the toddler!

    • Katie
      December 19, 2014 at 8:19 am

Ok. I guess those are really “health” goals and not “fitness” goals, but I’m happy with exercise situation right now and think my fitness will improve most from a diet revamp.

My health/wellness goal for 2015 is to try new things. I tend to get stuck in an exercise and healthy eating rut, doing the same workouts and eating the same few salads. In the new year I’d like to mix things up and try new classes and recipes. I haven’t ever done barre3 so this would be an awesome place to start. Thanks for hosting this giveaway Jenna! I plan on incorporating more yoga into my exercise regime in the new year. I’ve become hooked on boot camp classes in the last few months, and miss what yoga does for my body! I think barre3 would really compliment my regime well.

My “new year fitness goal” is NOT to have to lose weight in the new year! I gained five to six pounds last winter (the most I’ve ever gained at once), and I hated every day of losing it afterwards. I started lifting weights/toning the last few months, so my goal in 2015 is to continue to build muscle tone 🙂 It’d be so fun to win this!

For the new year, I hope to get back into the swing of things working out. I’m so hit or miss right now – I want to have a consistent schedule.

I set up a standing desk and I’m trying to transition to using it instead. In the new year I want to get used to standing all day. And ultimately I’d like to get a treadmill that I can use with my standing desk.

My fitness goal this year is to do something different for my body…something kind. I’ve been in the gym since I was 15, throwing weights around and abusing my body. Since I’ve had my daughter, I notice that my body isn’t responding to the same “hard” exercise it used to. I want to create long, lean, healthy muscles that can allow me to be active with my child will into my forties and beyond. I’ve been so drawn to Barre classes – this would be a dream for me – to be able to do this from the comfort of my own home, while she’s at school. Pick me, pick me! 🙂

I love barre3! I was introduced to them a little over a year ago when I bought the 28 to Great program on a Living Social deal. I love their approach, how many modifications there are (which was great for when I was injured), and the spirit of barre3. I wish there was a studio near me, though I do find the DVDs very convenient. Haven’t tried online yet, though.
