Goooood morning!
And happy black Friday. To be honest, I have never in my life went shopping on black Friday. I just HATE crowds! I have always hated crowds at the mall and today just seems like it would be the worst of the worst. I usually spend my black fridays exercising or at home with the fam. Racing through hundreds of people just to buy something 20% off just isn’t worth it to me.
This morning I woke up at about 6:15 just because my body is so used to wake up early! Gahhh!!! I came downstairs and fiddled in the kitchen looking for food and this is what I came up with:
This is 1/2 cup oats made with 1/2 cup water and topped with half of a Luna tea cake bar, 2 tbsp organic lowfat vanilla yogurt and 1 tbsp chocolate peanut butter. My parents are obviously out of bananas! 🙁
I’m actually getting my dad to go with me to spinning this morning so this should be interesting! We are leaving the house in half an hour so I must go get ready…..after the class I’m showering at the gym and then meeting my mom at Greenwise before she drags me to go get a flu shot.
Have a wonderful day—I’ll check back after lunch! =)

November 28, 2008 at 7:42 amI think I went once on Black Friday and I hated it. And believe me…I don’t EVER give up a chance to go shopping! haha but those crowds sound crazy. It was weird the day that I went though, the crowds weren’t bad at all.
Great Breakfast but I knew it was missing something when I didn’t see a banana.

November 28, 2008 at 8:57 amI’m the same way with black friday. I hate hate hate crowds! I’d rather wait and go at some random time to get my gifts even if they are a little more expensive. 🙂 Have fun at spinning!

November 28, 2008 at 9:22 amI’ve never been to black friday either. Is it really THAT crazy? I honestly can’t really picture it because I feel like so many people are against shopping on black friday! And your chocolate peanut butter looks amazing as usual.. does it taste kind of like nutella (but healthier maybe?) I would love to get some soon. Have a great spin class!

November 28, 2008 at 10:13 amHi Jenna,
I just found your website linked from PastaQueen’s HalfOfMe blog.
I noticed that you are both in Orlando and practice Ashtanga. I’ve been looking for a studio that offers Ashtanga (having practiced ‘flow’ or ‘vinyasa’ for a couple years, and having the occasional full primary series treat from time to time). I have found a few, but they are usually to far for me to reasonably commit to (I’m in Winter Springs). What studios in the area do you recommend that offer a real Ashtanga series?
Thanks and keep up the great work!
Cheers,
-Susan

November 28, 2008 at 10:22 amI can’t handle the crowds or competitiveness of all those shoppers! Sounds like exercise with pops would be wayyy better! Have fun at home and get some rest 😀

November 28, 2008 at 4:32 pmSusan,
When I lived in Orlando I practiced frequently at Full Circle Yoga in Winter Park. I believe the website is http://www.fullcircleyoga.com . Any class with Lewis was AMAZING and very traditional!

November 28, 2008 at 6:00 pmThanks Jenna! I have taken a class with Lewis once (too long ago!) and agree whole heartedly! I’m hoping for something closer, but beggars can’t be choosers 😉 Thanks again and take care. 🙂 -Susan
