Dinner/ Lunch

Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks….

Sunday night and the end of a truly packed (but fun!) weekend. And Ryan and I have yet another wedding to go to next weekend! All I can say is wedding season has arrived! I love love love going to weddings though….I will have an absolute field day when I someday get to plan my own!

The weather was gorgeous today but we sort of got a late start and then had to stop by my parent’s house to pick up some stuff. I got some bad news again regarding my Grandfather as well. He was doing SO well and they even moved him out of ICU a couple days ago….but then last night he had to have emergency surgery because they found a hole in his bowels (very very dangerous) and now, of course, he is back in ICU and very weak. The news definitely put a damper on my mood but we tried to remain positive and have a fun Sunday, regardless. Since we were running late, Ryan and I stopped by Evos (“healthy” fast food) and I grabbed a veggie burger and air fries to go. Note that this really isn’t healthy at all if you are watching your calories. These places get you big time! They have the nutritional info on the wall and I saw that the veggie burger I love is 330 calories, which is totally not bad at all, but when you combine it with the air fries that I love and always get, the meal is about 600 calories. I get it anyways though because its not an everyday thing and I just love it, but today for some reason I was hungry all afternoon after eating it! Does anyone else get those days when you just feel hungry all day long??! I think it might be hormone related….bleh.

The game was tons of fun and even better because we went with a couple of our friends and they had connections to sit in a suite/box up above the stands. Yay for the Rays sweeping the Sox completely! That hasn’t happened in a long long time, if ever. Everyone was super pumped at the end of the game!! I snacked on peanuts and also got one of those soft pretzels because I was just feeling so darn hungry!!! I probably had about 75% of the pretzel dipped in yellow mustard and gave the rest to Ryan and our friends, who just picked at it as well. Then,  after eating all that snacky stuff I just felt very bloated for the remainder of the day. It’s like my system couldn’t figure out what it wanted! I got home to Orlando later, around 7:00, and just heated up a Whole Foods Brand Pad Thai with Tofu frozen dinner, which was okay. I like the miso/tofu they make better and I wasn’t really hungry to begin with but knew I should eat something, so frozen dinner it was.

I LOVE this picture of us (except for it looks like I only have one eye)!!! The Rays stadium is actually an indoor stadium so it looks all cool and dark in the background even though it was a sunny Sunday afternoon.

For some odd reason the photo of my dinner did not turn out at all. Sorry guys! I’m sure you all know what a frozen meal looks like though. It wasn’t the prettiest anyways!! I’m off to do laundry, unpack, take a bubble bath and get into one of the new books I got yesterday!

I wish my city had an indoor field…….no bugs! Looks like fun!

Do you really consider 600 calories that big of a splurge? I actually eat that often and I don’t at all need to lose weight nor do I exercise much.

    Rebecca,

Haha no! I meant its not that healthy because its um, a burger and fries. Usually I incorporate fruit and veggies in my lunches rather than a starchy small fry (even though they were baked, not fried) doused with ketchup. The burger, although soy, was on a fluffy white bun and was a little greasy. Its not that I consider it a splurge at all, its just not something I would eat everyday because I like more fiber, fruits and veggies in my meals! Tasty though!

The food you eat always looks so good. You have good taste…it’s healthy but not weird and varied but with good staple foods!

I feel ya on the weird day! I was at the Dodgers game, and couldn’t quite satisfy my cravings. However, tonight I had two firsts: Annie’s Goddess dressing and KALE CHIPS. UNbelievable!!! Yummers!

You and Ryan are adorable!! I’m actually going to a baseball game this Wednesday so your pictures made me really excited. Especially when I always get a soft pretzel at baseball games. 😀

I love your blog Jenna! Keep up the amazing work.

You guys really are too cute! You always look so happy and adorable in your pics – I love it!

Sounds like you had a really great, fun-filled day despite the unsettling news about your grandfather. I am so sorry to hear the latest turn of events, but as always I am keeping him in the very forefront of my prayers.

A bubble bath and a good book sounds like the perfect ending to your fun day (to any day for that matter!) I only wish my day was 1/10th as fun – I’ve been in my room ALL day studying for finals. It’s torture! At least I can live vicariously through you 😉

“see” you tomorrow for breakfast 🙂
