Call In The Elastic Waist

Good evening 🙂

Tonight was the beginning of a very successful foodie weekend.

IMG_5066
Totally normal.
Let’s back up.
I attempted semi-healthfullness before heading out tonight and made some kale, cucumber, parsley, celery and klwi juice (stocking up on my GREEN)
Photo on 2010-03-18 at 16.16 #2
I headed with Kevin to Charlie Palmer’s house (that would be THE Charlie Palmer!) to hang out with Bryan (from Top Chef) and a few other awesome people for drinks. Check out the view!

And then we headed to Scopa to meet Hardy for some gooooooood eatin’. I was a lucky girl with two dates from the ATL! 😉

IMG_5054
We started off with some delightful nettle creation…it tasted almost like a quiche married a flan. In a good way.

IMG_5056
Lamb tongue!

IMG_5057
Grilled calamari!!! (my faaaaavorite…..sorry for the blurry picture; I was just so excited to eat!!)

IMG_5058
Meatballs!

IMG_5064
Wild boar!

IMG_5068
Pasta from the heavens above!

IMG_5069
Yummy indeed.
After dinner we decided to rally the troops and head to Cyrus for dessert and a cocktail. But really, there’s no rallying when it comes to Cyrus. There’s running.
I had the tiramisu and it ROCKED my world.

IMG_5070
There were also a few mights of a chestnut souffle….

IMG_5071
(that’s green tea ice cream!)
There were also a few sips of sherry but I discovered I’m just not a huge fan. The boys had old fashioned but after my last experience with bourbon at Cyrus, I drank water.
My jammies + Dexter + bed are going to feel SO GOOD….night!

I mean..all everyone means is just that they’d love to do some of the things you get to experience, but it’s not like they were just handed to you.
