Since it’s Saturday I stopped at Whole Foods on my way out of Orlando and got a small cafe con leche with skim milk. It was soooo yummy!
Ryan is working at the office all morning so I picked up Pita Pit for my mom, brother and I and I went over to my parents house to eat. I got a grilled chicken whole wheat pita with black olives, onion, spinach, mushrooms, jalepinos, banana peppers, pickles, hot sauce and honey mustard.
And an apple that I found in the fridge
The weather here is not so good and I think that pretty much ruins our plans for the dive trip tomorrow unfortunately. It’s supposed to be a rainy weekendΒ :(. My mom’s car was involved in a little fender bender last week and is in the shop for the next couple weeks so I gave her my car to use all weekend, and now I am waiting for Ryan to come pick me up in a few hours. I think I will spend it reading in this comfy chair with a blanket!Β Later on,Β I think we are going to hunker down and watch the opening ceremonies that I didn’t get to see last night because of school (and no cable). I can’t wait!!!
Oh! And since I am a major dork, here is a picture of my growing muscles. I’m a beefcake, obviously. Haha πΒ (oh, an I swear I don’t wear the same green tank top every day. It does seem like in every picture of me on here though I’m wearing it!)

August 9, 2008 at 5:26 pmHi Jenna! Nice bicep, girl!
I have a question about yogurt for you. I pretty much can’t handle dairy… feel sick if I drink milk for sure but really want more calcium in my diet. You often eat fage yogurt. I got some and wondered if it is easier to digest (the plain 0% is what I got) and also was it an “aquired” taste? Did you learn to like it, so to speak? I want to learn to like it and I hope it likes my belly.
Thanks for all your hard work on this blog. Also, your guns are totally are ready for crow pose! (one of my favs in yoga, what about you?)

August 9, 2008 at 5:59 pmNice Muscles! I like to flex for my husband ALL the time and he just doesn’t seem to enjoy it as much as I do:)
You will enjoy the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics. We watched some of them, but had to bow out during the parade of countries. We couldn’t believe the stuff they did last night. You will have fun watching them!

August 9, 2008 at 6:43 pmI would love to hear your opinion about fage too. I really want to like it but it taste like sour cream to me. I can’t get over it’s weird texture and thickness. It’s the tartness plus a weird texture. I know you went to europe, but I thought French yogurts were different than greek yogurts. How are they similar/different?
p.s. sounds totally random, but do you wax your eyebrows they look perfectly arched. Eyebrow plucking and shaving are my two least favorite activities. I would love to wax my legs in the summer but it costs $60. Outragous! Boys have it so much easier π

I have a question about your springtime risotto recipe. What is arborio rice and if I can’t find it, what else can I use?

August 9, 2008 at 7:10 pmHi guys,
I’m not exactly sure if the yogurt is easier to digest…I think that may have to be a trial and error sort of deal. Regarding the taste, it is acquired I think…I learned to appreciate plain yogurt in France when that’s really all they eat. Then when I got home from France I searched for something that could replace the delicious creamy yogurts I loved in Paris and I stumbled across Fage. I started to put some honey on it but then I weaned myself off that completely by putting less and less on everytime. It’s SO good for you! Full of protein with basically no sugar and no carbs. I would suggest mixing it with fresh fruit to start off. The best combo I know is mango slices. The other day I used my mango slices as “spoons” and dipped each slice into the yogurt. It was absolutely divine! I could never go back to eating sugary yogurt after eating this…its just so smooth, thick and creamy (i just ate one haha). When you read the labels of the sweetened ones vs fage you will be shocked because Dannon contains about 25 grams of sugar!! And a lot of them contain HFCS as well! Bleh!
Oh and Amy,
I had my brows waxed 30 minutes before that picture was taken haha. I get them waxed religiously every 2 weeks π A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

August 9, 2008 at 7:12 pmMichael,
Arborio rice is an Italian short grain rice and you can find it at your normal grocery store—I promise. Its in a big plastic container. You really need arborio or it won’t get creamy enough.

Totally without a doubt. My triceps are a lot more defined after that triceps routine I’ve been doing about twice a week. My abs are also a lot tighter and more defined with all the crunches. But really, exercise is only 20% of it. Your diet is 80%!
