Hey guys!
I hope everyone had a great Monday! This morning Kath and I were total food blogger geeks and had a massive coffee photoshoot in downtown Healdsburg. It was awesome 🙂
What can I say? Coffee makes me giggle and leap off benches.
We had a blast. I was so sad to see her off on her go….I need to plan a trip back to the east coast at some point! 🙂
Work was not nearly as fun as playing in the park. Almost, but not quite. I actually haven’t felt 100% all day….I think I just totally overloaded my system with glorious food over the weekend and I feel the need to detox or something. What I REALLY need to do is start juicing again…I have my juicer that I brought with me from Florida and I have all this amazing California produce. There’s no reason why not.
Anyways, lunch was a sandwich with hummus, laughing cow cheese, bread and butter pickles, avocado and spinach—
Carrots + a pear!
Green tea x 2
A crack pure protein bar for snack—
I got home around 5:30 and was STARVING (the icky feeling faded fast, apparently). Dinner was totally random but worked. All I did was roast 2 delicata squash and then mix the pieces into whole wheat couscous with tofu and mix the whole mess with thai red curry sauce.
That picture wasn’t the best….but I knew Kath would kill me if I used the flash…… 😉
My snackish-dessert tonight was a yogurt with a little bit of elite Hotel Healdsburg granola on top. Muhahaha
I was going to do more work tonight but honestly, I think I’m going to go soak in a really hot bubble bath right now instead and call it a night. Tomorrow I’m actually getting up early and going to a SPINNING class (can you even believe it?!) at my new gym.
Sweet dreams!

November 9, 2009 at 9:32 pmHave fun at Spinning! I’m going tomorrow too. I think your photos are looking great, can’t believe there is such a big difference between the 2 cameras but it’s true! Watch out for your ankle jumping off park benches ;).

November 9, 2009 at 10:47 pmYes, it takes practice learning how to use the manual but it’s worth it and your photos are really looking great!
I used to spin years ago…my biggest fear was getting eaten alive by the peddles. One slip and ouch…do you use clip on shoes?
Have a great time!

November 10, 2009 at 3:34 amGood luck with Spinning! That can be a serious but-kicking experience. That hummus sandwich sounds so filling! I’ve been sticking to basic hummus and chesse, but the addition of butter pickles and avacado….yummm.
Glad you and Kath had such a great time. Headlesburg looks so quaint and beautiful!

November 10, 2009 at 4:51 amHooray for spinning! I love the classes at my gym – it’s a great workout and a good alternative to running. I try to focus on my upstrokes as much as my downstrokes – this helps strengthen all the leg muscles.

November 10, 2009 at 4:58 amYou two are so cute! Looks like you had a great time 🙂

November 10, 2009 at 5:31 amWhen I overdo it, I want juice as well! Of course, I don’t have a juicer so I have to make do with some green odwalla or Naked brand juice. It’s pretty tasty but not as veggie-ful as I would like. The last time I overdid it (I had a cold and a guest in town so I ate really decadent dinners at restaurants for a week straight!), I found a place that actually does wheatgrass shots, so I had a wheatgrass shot and a carrot/beet juice. Yum! (Am I weird for thinking wheatgrass is delicious?) Unfortunately, this place is really far away from my house so I won’t be going there often. It did make me feel better though.

November 10, 2009 at 6:05 amSO jealous! I was in Healdsburg in October (Columbus Day long weekend) and am absolutely in love and MUST MUST MUST go back. Seeing these pics, and the Flying Goat bring me back…can I work for you? I’m in PR, I could totally just be the publicity chick!! 😉 Pretty please?! 🙂

November 10, 2009 at 6:26 amI’ve never been to spin… I guess I always feel intimidated by it, but everyone has to start somewhere so I don’t know why I am!
Looks like you guys had a great morning– I’m so glad that you seem to be enjoying CA so much!

November 10, 2009 at 6:45 amSpin is awesome but totally kills the cooch. (Sorry, but it had to be said.) Your squash mix looks killer and I love the black and white sweater. I’m a sucker for horizontal stripes.

November 10, 2009 at 8:05 amI’ve been considering getting a juicer, but I’m afraid I won’t like any of my concoctions and it will be a waste of money. 🙁 Maybe for Christmas.

November 10, 2009 at 12:12 pmSometimes nothing is better than a big bowl of veggies and rice, you know? I think that’s why I like those Amy’s bowls so much! Although, making your own from scratch is always the best!
