Helloooo!
Hope everyone’s labor day weekend is treating them well. I’m still in Texas…we had a bit of a medical emergency over here (we’re all fine–just a round of kidney stones) so I haven’t been at my computer much in the past two days. I HAVE been driving all over the state of Texas and eating pretty much every taco in sight. You know how it goes.
I promise to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, enjoy these lovely East Texas sunset photos and pray for the best. We’re trying to get back to California but between the weather and the kidney stones, it’s proving a little tough.

I am so happy you are well, and that you are taking advantage of the Tex-Mex here in Texas
Aw, hope everything’s better soon! Texas looks pretty.
From someone who has been there (more than a few times), hope the kidney stones pass!
I’m glad you are at least eating every taco in sight.
Beautiful photos as always. I hope whoever has kidney stones gets/feels better soon.
Oooh, my thoughts are with whom ever has the nasty kidney stones…..
Why would you only associate Texas with Tacos, like that is the only thing to eat in Texas? There is so much more to chose from, and with you in Austin there is definetely more than just tacos, which is all you have talked about for the last 4 days.
Oh no! Hope you (or whoever has the acursed stones) is okay! Sounds like being stuck there for a few extra days might not be the worst thing in the world
So pretty! Best wishes for a quick recovery – kidney stones are icky!

Hope whoever has the kidney stones feels better soon!! Enjoy the rest of your trip! Get home safely!

Is it you with the stones? How does one get that….
I love that first photo, very calming. It needs to be my background setting I think
Oh man, kidney stones are THE WORST. I got them during class my second week of college – embarrassing. All the nurses were like, “Well, at least you know what kind of pain you’ll be in when you’re in labor! HAHA!” Ugh.
Hope whoever had them is okay and passes soon!
Wow!! Feel better!
Tacos, tacos, tacos…..you have given me a MAJOR craving!
Kidney stones?? Oh no I hear those are not fun at all
Hopefully you’ll get back to cali safe & sound soon!
oh no! no fun. hope everyone is better soon.
I am so sorry to hear that someone is dealing with kidney stones. My husband had one in July and it was the scariest thing ever. He was in so. much. pain. He went to the ER twice in one in a half to two days.
Only one pain med helped him. It was called Dilaudid and he had two doses of it each time and I have been told that it is a very strong narcotic. When he went to the ER the second time the doctor gave him a steroid. I am not sure which one they gave him, but a hour later the stone passed. Thank goodness! I really think the steroid is what caused it to pass quickly. The doctor and nurses wanted to admit him because he was in so much pain and they did not think it would pass for another day or two.
Also the narcotics that they give for pain can cause constipation. My husband was fine after one dose of Metamucil. (check the ingredients, some of them contain artificial sweeteners)
Good luck and I hope the person feels better soon.
I hope whoever has the kidney stones feels better and has a speedy recovery! Beautiful pictures as always!
Best of luck getting home safely. And a quick recovery to those in pain!
Praying for a quick recovery from the kidney stones!
I wish you well!! Or who ever it is w/ the kidney stones. I had one once when I was 22. I thought I was dying. I also had a baby and had a 100% natural no drugs involved childbirth. I would say that those 2 things rank right up there on the highest levels of pain I’ve ever had. Sending healing vibes!!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to the one suffering from kidney stones.
Hope you will have a good and safe trip home, after all!
