Don’t Be Hatin’

Loved hearing all your favorite restaurant spots around here!!! I need to check some of them out for sure…! I’ll be announcing the winner of the giveaway in the morning so stay tuned!

I had a great day today. Yoga was kick butt this morning and then I stuck around and worked for a few hours and ate my lunch behind the desk:

A pita with hummus, tempeh and cherry tomatoes and……
The furry kiwi kick continues! nom nom nom
I had the intention to go for an hour ride today but there seems to be something wrong with my bike. I need to take it to the shop tomorrow….its probably something incredibly simple but I’d rather be safe than sorry and strange sounds when I’m pedaling worry me!
Instead, I went to the coffee shop and wrote all afternoon while enjoying a lovely cappuccino and a larabar:
Photo on 2010-02-22 at 14.01 #2
I grabbed a taco with a friend for dinner:
This was AMAZING! A roasted veggie and feta burrito from this tiny place in Windsor. It was about the size of my head though so I ate half and have the other half in my fridge for tomorrow.
And then, guess what I ate for dessert!!!
Oh yes I did. Jenna eats pop tarts….and LIKES them. Are these not the best thing ever?! They remind me of college and I always eat the ends first. I hate all other pop tart flavors but there’s just something about the brown sugar and cinnamon that totally rocks my world. Don’t be a hater.
Off to write poetry and brush Dexter! What what!

OMG Pop Tarts!!! I haven’t had those in forever! I used to have cinnamon brown sugar every day in hs for an afternoon snack (I know bad) but they are SO good, hot and cold! I had a thing for the smores for a while but they get old fast this flavor never disappoints! Which also reminds me of my other favorite H.S snack: Peanut Butter MMs slightly warmed in the microwave. They maintain the crunch but are warm and gooey choc.+pb heaven!

I have been reading your blog for a while and LOVE IT! But nothing could make me comment like brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts. This might sound gross to others, but I always ate them toasted with butter. Really a major reason why I don’t eat them anymore… I have an addiction to making things that aren’t good for me even worse! However, I do remember this being one of the best comfort foods/afternoon snacks while I was in high school! Also, you have to eat the ends first, so you can save the best part – the middle – for last!

I love the Brown Sugar-Cinnamon ones. Those and smores are the only Pop Tarts I would eat. BS-Cinn ones have to be toasted and smores have to be untoasted. I have weird tastes sometimes.

    I’m not a pop-tart fan, but I have other highly-fake-processed-food secret indulgences. (Such as Twinkies… sshhhh!) πŸ™‚

OMG! That’s so random because I’ve recently started eating poptarts again! They’re so nummy. Favorites are Smores, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and any frosted fruit flavor!

It’s so great to see you eat “bad” foods once and a while too! Those are definitely my FAVORITE flavor and I dig into them once and a while, too!

Okay I’d love to be able to live where the weather allows me to wear a shirt like yours so it can’t be that bad! It’s freezing here!

LOVE the brown sugar & cinnamon Pop Tarts. I like the cherry ones, too. Alas, my corn syrup allergy doesn’t allow me to indulge in them (and lots of other things) any more…

your burrito looks awesome. Every time I read your blog I get a little jealous inside. Your food always looks so great and I love how you always try new things.

I am currently looking for jobs in California. Do you recommend picking up and moving like you did or really considering it first?

Ummm for the most stability, I suggest finding a job before moving unless you have best friends that want give up their couch for an indefinite period of time.

Pop Tarts! My kids love them, so at my house we have Pop Tart Thursdays!! That way they’re getting other healthy options most of the week. It’s like a total treat to them:) Have a wonderful trip this weekend! (looking back at older posts since I’ve been MIA, too)
