Good evening
It was back to normal today. No more foodie shenanigans to speak of
SO fun.
However, YOGA was also very fun this morning! A bunch of us gathered at the studio around 9:30 for a photoshoot for the new website…..I think the photographer got an awesome picture of David, Anna and my feet in the air while up in headstand but I remember being like “WHY did I drink so much wine last night??!” I could totally feel it upside down. Bahahaha
Nothing a little power yoga can’t fix though! After the photoshoot we rocked out for an hour and I’m telling you, I must have sweat buckets. Goodbye, wine. Hello, sweat.
When I came home I had a pretty simple lunch of leftover soup and a pear:
I really have had a hard time focusing today. I went to the coffee shop, drank a cappuccino and tried to write but then got antsy and came back home. Had a yogurt for a snack—
And then randomly had an intense craving for breakfast around 4:15. Don’t fight the feeling, people!!!!!
I had a lovely chocolate chip pancake (made with kodiak mix, of course!) + an over easy egg, raspberry syrup and an orange. It totally hit the spot but seriously defined early bird special. My sweet tooth is OOC (out of control..duh).
And that’s it. Nothing else terribly exciting to report. This coming up week I’m going to be hunkered down finishing the first draft of my book because it’s DUE next week! One of my best friends from college is also coming to visit on Thursday so I’m psyched about that…haven’t seen her since we graduated…life is crazy! Most of all though, I’m looking forward to sending my draft to my editor next Thursday and then jetting off on Spring Break (aka going to Savannah and Charleston for a week). The plan is to permanently plant myself on Folly beach and hang out with the family and my best friend. Good stuff.
Night!

It sounds like you have a fun couple of weeks coming up! And good luck with finishing the book, I can’t wait to read it!!!! It seems like just yesterday you moved out to California.
YUM breakfast for dinner is the BEST!
Mmm I love pancakes I may have to make them soon:)
I could have breakfast for dinner every day of the week….for the rest of my LIFE.
Your eats definitely fit the bill today for post-partying…or the stomach flu…which in a lot of cases, are the same thing. I hope you get your groove back on tomorrow!
Best of luck with the last of your book writing! How exciting!!!
I need to try those pancakes!! I love your eats, and especially love the new burrito picture!
Can’t believe April 1st is already just around the corner. I can remember the day you announced to the ‘world’ you got a book deal because that is the day you inspired me to start up a blog of my own. You continue to be my daily inspiration. Just a little bit more hard work on your book, and then it’s all play! =]
Those plans for Spring break are just what you need : ) Sounds great!
Every now and then, breakfast for dinner hits the spot. I know what you mean about going somewhere specifically to do work but then getting really antsy (perfect word for it) to escape home waaay sooner than was anticipated or is reasonable. You just have to be in the right mood for productivity!
ain’t nothin’ wrong with a little breakfast love in the middle of the afternoon
glad you sweat the wine out, i wish i could say the same thing right about now
Good luck finishing the book — you’ll feel so happy to have the first draft done. What an accomplishment!
You’re living the dream, girl!
Never fight a craving, right?
Congrats on the draft!
Chocolate chip pancakes are the best!
that pancake looks gooooood
Sounds like my kinda day – lots of hangin’ out after a long, fun weekend.
Yoga photoshoot sounds like a blast!! And there is NOTHING like a good sweaty practice after a glass of wine…or six. Just sayin’.
Sleep well, my dear!
Raspberry syrup and egg and pancake..I’ve never heard of that comb before! But as you say, don’t fight the urge….! Have a great day
i love food shenanigans!!!!!!
yoga + wine never were a happy couple, alas….
a bientot
the pfb
Your breakfast in the afternoon looks awesome! I saw your tweets about it and wondered what you were up to!
Good luck finishing the book!
A Spring break trip sounds so fun! I need a vacation from my weekend vacation.
Spontaneous and impulsive pancakes just taste better than planned ones. It’s like you can taste yourself giving in with each bite. Sounds like the detoxifying yoga class did its trick in remedying last night’s fun.
Looking forward to reading about your upcoming vacations!
Yummy pancake combo.
I love pancakes too! I had nature cakes yesterday — buttermilk pancakes with granola mixed in. Yummm!
Huge fan of breakfast! Lovin’ the p-cakes.
Glad you were able to enjoy an awesome yoga session, girly! Sometimes a sweaty workout can feel so refreshing after a busy (but fun!) weekend.
Jenna, you are such a gem. You glow from ear to ear!
That yogurt looks yummy. We don’t have that here. I will need to check that out on my next trip to the USA!
Your breakfast food looks so good! Can I ask what the book is that you are writing? Have you written about it in a previous post?
After the night you had pancakes were in order…where was the bacon though
…you didn’t want it after all that pork ? Haha
Ooh, your spring vacation is going to be so much fun! Tell Folly Beach hello for me
I love a good sweat session after a night of indulgence.
I LOVE breakfast for dinner! No big deal.
And that sounds like such a fun spring break!
xo

Mmm i love breakfast any time of day!
That’s so great that you’re sending your draft in! What a great feeling!
Did you notice your pic of a Kodiak cake you made on their website?! Or maybe you sent it to them! That’s sooooo awesome! I must try these soon!
Sigh, I wish I got a spring break.
Glad you were able to recover!! The eats look like they were helpful
YUUUMMMM I love breakfast at anytime of the day!!
Especially if it looks anything like yours. I really need to step it up. I don’t really cook “fancy” (yes I consider CC pancake and eggs fancy) It is so worth it.
Note to self: You deserve pancakes anytime not just when company is over or if it’s a holiday!!
Wow, looks like you’ve had the best weekend! I’m glad you had fun and relished in the opportunity! Have a great Monday. Good luck finishing the book!
Ahh springbreak sounds just perfect! As if your book is due next week – that is bananas! Beach, charleston, savannah…all sound amazing!
Good luck with the final crunch of your book. I’m wishing you lots of caffeinated productiveness today.
I love rocking out breakfast for dinner just because.
Enjoy the last bits of book writing and it will be fabulous!
Yoga definitely fixes all! Good luck with the writing, you’re almost there!
I totally believe in eating what your body wants, but my sweet tooth has been out of control lately as well. I have a hard time distinguishing between depriving myself and exercising a little self control.
That pancake looks aaaahhmazing.
I haven’t been to Folly beach since middle school but what I remember is how flat the beach is (unlike NC beaches) and how large rivets formed which filled up with water. I love loved laying in these rivets. It was kind of like a cooling mini lagoon. Sounds like an awesome spring bread!
Some days you just need breakfast at 4:15!
I love that you embrace listening to your body in that way…that is truly where I have found my health and balance. Fabulous!
This cracked me up. I always say “double-o c” when something is out of control! Lol. Pancake looked awesome!
Good luck finishing the book. How exciting!
you always make the best pancakes!!!
Love choc chip pancakes. yummm.
Any blogger meet ups while you’re in Charleston??
