Don’t Fight The Feeling

Good evening πŸ™‚

It was back to normal today. No more foodie shenanigans to speak of πŸ™

SO fun.
However, YOGA was also very fun this morning! A bunch of us gathered at the studio around 9:30 for a photoshoot for the new website…..I think the photographer got an awesome picture of David, Anna and my feet in the air while up in headstand but I remember being like “WHY did I drink so much wine last night??!” I could totally feel it upside down. Bahahaha
Nothing a little power yoga can’t fix though! After the photoshoot we rocked out for an hour and I’m telling you, I must have sweat buckets. Goodbye, wine. Hello, sweat.
When I came home I had a pretty simple lunch of leftover soup and a pear:

IMG_5210
I really have had a hard time focusing today. I went to the coffee shop, drank a cappuccino and tried to write but then got antsy and came back home. Had a yogurt for a snack—

And then randomly had an intense craving for breakfast around 4:15. Don’t fight the feeling, people!!!!!

IMG_5214
I had a lovely chocolate chip pancake (made with kodiak mix, of course!) + an over easy egg, raspberry syrup and an orange. It totally hit the spot but seriously defined early bird special. My sweet tooth is OOC (out of control..duh).
And that’s it. Nothing else terribly exciting to report. This coming up week I’m going to be hunkered down finishing the first draft of my book because it’s DUE next week! One of my best friends from college is also coming to visit on Thursday so I’m psyched about that…haven’t seen her since we graduated…life is crazy! Most of all though, I’m looking forward to sending my draft to my editor next Thursday and then jetting off on Spring Break (aka going to Savannah and Charleston for a week). The plan is to permanently plant myself on Folly beach and hang out with the family and my best friend. Good stuff.
Night!

Can’t believe April 1st is already just around the corner. I can remember the day you announced to the ‘world’ you got a book deal because that is the day you inspired me to start up a blog of my own. You continue to be my daily inspiration. Just a little bit more hard work on your book, and then it’s all play! =]

Every now and then, breakfast for dinner hits the spot. I know what you mean about going somewhere specifically to do work but then getting really antsy (perfect word for it) to escape home waaay sooner than was anticipated or is reasonable. You just have to be in the right mood for productivity!

Spontaneous and impulsive pancakes just taste better than planned ones. It’s like you can taste yourself giving in with each bite. Sounds like the detoxifying yoga class did its trick in remedying last night’s fun.

Looking forward to reading about your upcoming vacations!

YUUUMMMM I love breakfast at anytime of the day!!
Especially if it looks anything like yours. I really need to step it up. I don’t really cook “fancy” (yes I consider CC pancake and eggs fancy) It is so worth it.
Note to self: You deserve pancakes anytime not just when company is over or if it’s a holiday!!

I haven’t been to Folly beach since middle school but what I remember is how flat the beach is (unlike NC beaches) and how large rivets formed which filled up with water. I love loved laying in these rivets. It was kind of like a cooling mini lagoon. Sounds like an awesome spring bread!
