Lunch

Drama!

Sorry my lunch post is a tad late…..I worked till 4 and just now am getting back! I’m having some hair drama….I thought I liked what they did to my hair the other day but then I tried to style it myself and realized it wasn’t what I really wanted at all!!! It was too blunt and kicked up in weird spots and all that…maybe I’m just partial to my old hairdresser in charleston that I went to religiously (I tried a new girl this last time), but I really just wasn’t happy! SO…I went to a different place, this time here in Orlando to see if they could fix it a little bit. Now I am home with my hair 2 inches shorter! I like it better this way (short bob) but its def. a major change because I can’t even put it into a ponytail. I’m not sure why this got to be so stressful–I LOVE getting my hair done! ahh! Oh well..it grows fast!

For lunch I packed a variety of little things. I had some salmon salad (2.5 ounces salmon, light mayo and whole grain dijon mustard), a baggie of baby carrots, a laughing cow wedge, a yogurt, 2 clementines and, lastly, 2 ounces of my sundried tomato foccacia I made last week in school and froze! It went perfectly with the cheese and salmon salad. For a snack later on I had another one of those “Bora Bora” wellness bars…I had the almond sunflower kind this time and I really liked it. I just can’t seem to find these bars in a lot of places! Too bad because I would buy them more often!

mmm, baby carrots!! love ’em. are the Bora Bora bars vegan, by any chance? I’ve never heard of them/seen them before.

Has anyone had the naked juice smoothies?
    http://www.nakedjuice.com/
They are really goood, and on the label they say they have like 2 apples, 1/2 banana, 1/2 kiwi, 1/2 pineapple or some insane amt of fruit within and no sugar added. So i was wondering if they really are good for you or not? I mean if they contain this amt of fruit than they should be but..i don’t know, it seems too good to be true.

haha, I was about to request a pic of the new hair too! I bet it looks amazing. What do you plan to do at the gym/running now that you can’t ponytail it. I’m guessing…. neon headband 😉 I’m not a huge fan of the naked juice smoothies because I feel like they have a lot of sugar in them. Yes yes, it’s natural sugar and such. But I enjoy whole fruit a lot And that way I get fiber. The naked juices are really handy when I have a long day of class or work though!

This article was in the NYTimes a few months ago and I thought, given all the discussion about binge eating, people would find it interesting.

Oh thats to bad the first haircut wasn’t what you had wanted. I hate it when that happens! I am really picky aboug my hair so I know how you feel. I bet the bob looks really great though. You will just have to make headbands your new best friend when you work out!

Bora Bora bars have honey in them so I guess they can’t be fully vegan since honey comes from bees? They are fake vegan! They are SO good though…couldnt find them at my local store tonight so I’ll have to go to the health food store next weekend at home to buy some more! They satisfy me so much more than just a regular granola bar. I ate this one today at 2:30 and was fine till I ate dinner at 6:00. Thats pretty good for a bar!

Pictures of the hair to come soon! I guess I’ll put it half up for the gym or just plaster it back with a headband! haha! It hardly fits half up anymore though—it is basically the same haircut that katie holmes has right now if any of yall are us. weekly readers. Im still a bit self conscious about it though! Tomorrow it will be all stuffed under my chef hat once again….
