You guys came!!
Thank you so much for showing up last night, eating my cookies and bringing your spatulas for me to sign. WOW. I love you all so much! It {in my opinion} was a fabulous event despite my first reading jitters. I was so nervous! But then when I looked out and saw all your smiling, encouraging faces I felt right at home. You guys rock.
{hi Emily! You have beautiful hair!}
{this is Marcy and without Marcy the book would never be possible. Marcy was my writing buddy and we met once a week for months and months, going over each other’s work and giving valuable feedback. I pretty much owe her my life…or just a ton of cookies}
{serious face}
{hi Rachel! Your mom is so sweet and showed me photos of your beautiful family!}
{hi Sara! Your mom is also so sweet! Thanks for sending in the troops}
{these beautiful girls drove all the way from Oakland I am so thankful they did!}
Whew!
What a night! After my signing I discovered the harsh reality that it’s virtually impossible to watch back-to-back seasons of Homeland and then expect to fall right asleep after.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Saturday! And a huge thank you again to Copperfield’s for hosting me and every one of y’all that showed up for support. I can’t wait to meet more of you next weekend at Omnivore Books in San Francisco!

YAY! Sounds like it was a terrific and successful first book signing! Congratulations!! I just started your book last night and saw that your mom is from Milwaukee! Any chance you’ll be doing a signing there anytime soon? I live here and would LOVE to finally meet you after all this time following your beautiful journey! Take care and have a blast with this! You deserve it after all of your hard work!

Yay! Good for you! I’m sure it went great & your boots are awesome (so how can you go wrong, right?) You will be 2 hours away from me in my lovely home state of NC on the 24th but I unfortunately can’t make it that night. All the best as you hit the road! BTW, I love that bag on the girl on the right — in the next to last photo
I am so bummed I missed it!!!! I live right around the corner… I’ve been too wrapped up in my teacher and mom world these past 3 weeks. I will be getting your book though!
Last night was so much fun and I am sure the rest of your book tour will be just as exciting! Your reading was engaging and entertaining, and your cookies were scrumptious! Congrats on your wonderful book! I started reading it as soon as I got home last night and I am loving it. (And I am loving the pic of us, thanks for putting it here!) Congrats again Jenna!
Hi Jenna! I’m one of the girls from Oakland, and I just wanted to say it was wonderful meeting you! I can’t tell you how much fun it was to be at your first book reading. You have friends in Oakland now, so look me up if you ever venture south. (Although every time I go to Sonoma County I wonder why anyone would ever leave…) Good luck with the rest of your tour, and congratulations!
Congratulations Jenna–
Such a great turn out for you first ever book event, so gald I could be there. Thanks so much for the writing buddy shout-out. I know how hard you worked on the early drafts. It was great to work together–But you made this happen!
And, um, about the ton of cookies…maybe just some wine instead?
Cheers
THOSE BOOTS. Swooooon. Congrats
You coming anywhere near the LA area? I just got your book for my nook! Hope you come closer to my area!!

Love that you baked everyone cookies! (especially that you snuck them past that sign that says no food or drink in the bookstore
)
Jenna, congrats! I’d love to see a guest post from your Mom with her perspective on your success, the book tour and the book itself. I can’t get past thinking, “Her Mom must be so proud!” Can’t wait to read the book. Wished you were coming to Chattanooga!!!
You are right Candice! I am over the top with happiness and pride for my daughter! God has blessed me with Jenna and I am so thankful.
Where is the blazer from? So cute!!
Is Marcy a writer?! I’d love to hear that story. How did you meet?…and good God, you are photogenic!
Jenna – my good friend texted me that she saw my mom (Debra) on your blog. I yelped with excitement to get a shoutout
So random that you know Sarah R.!
Anyway, love your musings and recipes. Know that you have loyal little following here in SLC! If you are ever passing through, I’d love a margarita meet-up!

So excited for you. With your book tour and Kath’s baby, this week has been a week of vicarious excitement for me. Ha! I live in Alabama & get Birmingham magazine…there was a little side article about you in my most recent issue announcing your visit to B’ham!
P.S. You are so lovely. I do wish you would bring back the fashion posts. Glad to see you revealed where you found your jacket above – I was going to ask the same question!

Oh my goodness Jenna! I could have SWORN you were Kate Middleton with blonde hair in these pics. You look STUNNING! As much and as often as you say you hate public speaking etc.. this is obviously where & what you are meant to be doing in life. You’re absolutely glowing! x
Congrats! Looks like the event was a success – and cute boots!! Love them!
Jenna, I am so excited to get my hands on a copy of your book! I am a senior in college and I’ve been reading your blog for a few years now. This sounds silly, but it’s always a great escape from school to take a few minutes to check out your blog every day. You seem to be such a genuine, curious, COOL girl and I love reading about your adventures.
You definitely look very cool in your pictures from your book signing too – love the outfit
