First Trimester Favorites

first trimester faves
>>>Ingrid & Isabel Bella Band. I loved having this to keep my pre-pregnancy pants up! It’s pretty awesome to walk around all day with your jeans unzipped and have know the better.
>>> Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal Vitamins. I was taking prenatal vitamins from Trader Joe’s but then my neighbor introduced me to these and I LOVE them. They are filled with so many great things for you like broccoli, kale, celery, brussels sprouts, spinach, carrot, cauliflower, green bell pepper, blueberry and cucumber to list a few. I love them so much I recently bought Adam and the male version. They are worth the gagging, in my opinion.
>>>Super cozy wrap. I traveled a bunch in my first trimester and was so thankful I had such a cozy, warm wrap to cuddle up with on the airplane. This one is by Noonday Collection and is 100% super soft alpaca. It’s handmade in Peru by our group of artisans there. My favorite! And a great holiday gift to boot.
>>>Eye mask. Cause in your first trimester you’ll nap a ton when it’s light out! I actually sleep with an eye mask every single night. I’m addicted.
>>>Rosewater Spray. This is probably my favorite fave of the post. I saw this product first on Gina’s blog when she was pregnant and remembered that when I came across it at Whole Foods a few months ago. I use this as a face and body spray {it’s pure rosewater} and it actually really helps when you feel crummy. The scent is light and all natural, and it provides a little pick-me-up every time you spray. It’s been the one thing so far that I’m not sure I could live without. I’m almost out and need to buy more!
>>> Sprout App. I have this on my ipad and it’s been really fun to watch the baby’s growth each week! Adam loves this app, too, because it gives 3D photos of what’s actually happening inside you. It’s been my favorite of the pregnancy apps so far {and there’s a lot!}.
>>> Dr. Bronners Lavender Liquid Soap. I’ve always loved Dr. Bronner’s products and lately the lavender scent has been a really favorite of mine. When I found out I was pregnant, I became a lot more interested in all natural paraben-free products made without harsh dyes and perfumes. Loving this so far!
>>> Starbucks big water tumbler! I have faithfully carried this big water tumbler every single day of my pregnancy so far…until last week when I somehow lost it. I am going to buy a new one today, though. That’s how much I love this thing. It helps to remind me to always guzzle water during the day!

I wish I had known about the rose water spray for my first trimester! It was definitely rough but now that I’m almost 19 weeks it’s gotten a lot easier (especially after feeling legit baby kicks – funny how that makes everything else seem easy). I really like the sprout app too but there is one called Pregnancy + that also has really great images.

I highly recommend Baby & Me supplement by Megafoods. It’s pricey but one of the few made from all whole real foods. I’ve taken it throughout both my pregnancies and while nursing. You really can’t put a price on the health of your baby to be : )

I also recommend Megafoods supplements. They are one one of the only whole foods supplements on the market. Vitamin Code by Garden of Life is great too and whole foods based. I do recommend the whole Megafoods line to my customers.

I have been thinking about getting an eye mask lately and haven’t found one that seems like a good fit, I may have to take a look at this one!

You are right – eye masks are completely addictive. I sleep with one every night and panic when it falls off my bedside table and I cannot find it. I find that the moment it goes on, I immediately feel like I can sleep – it’s like a magic switch!

Great job on the huge water tumbler. I know when I was pregnant there were days I could have done better with the water chugging 🙂 Good for you! And fun to see what products have been helpful for you.

I’m far from preggers and don’t know anyone who is, but I think my sister would enjoy that cozy wrap as a Christmas present anyway!

So many people complain about their prenatal multivitamins but I take Honest’s multi and their omega 3/DHA tablets. They taste great and have this anti gag coating. they’re amazing.
