Friday Night, Off To Work!

And it’s off to work on a Friday night! Not really all that fun but I’m going home to Tampa tomorrow morning for the night so tonight I need to make money! I ended up going on a run outside this afternoon for 35 minutes. It was a slow, easy jog and it felt great to stretch my legs. I was going to go on the treadmill but I really avoid it at all costs because it’s SO boring to run on!!! When I got home I made a great smoothie with 2 ounces yogurt, 6 ounces milk, 5 strawberries and 1/2 frozen banana. It tasted great after a hot jog!

For dinner tonight I made Pasta with Tuna, Olives and Tomatoes (really don’t know why there’s a sort of “haze” over the sauce in the picture…some camera deal!) out of Tessa Kiros’ cookbook, “Apples for Jam”. This is not something I would normally make because the combo of tuna + pasta + marina sauce just sounds odd, but I wanted to try it because the picture was so pretty! It was actually really really good!!! Very Italian 🙂 I used a larger serving size of the pasta that I normally do (tonight I had 2.5 ounces dry) because I’m going to work and will be running around for the next 5 hours….I need my fuel! With my pasta I had a green salad topped with 3.5 ounces of steamed broccoli and drizzled with balsamic vin. Yum!! I’m bringing some graham sticks in my purse for snack later because I know I’ll be hungry since I’m the closer tonight…aka I will be there till about 11:30.

Happy friday night, everyone!

Hi, I’m new to your blog and saw that you ate an egg type noodle a few days back and said it was voluminous. Do egg noodles have more volume than other noodles? Also, what brand do you buy?

This is a question for you and anyone else who has ideas for a low calorie chocolate milkshake (without protein powder). I was thinking plain yogurt, but I think it would taste too tarte.

    Brooke,

I got that from target!!! it was on super clearance a couple months ago..I love it!

    Becca,

Yes, egg noodles do seem to have more volume than other pasta because they are much lighter and not as dense. I like to buy the whole wheat egg noodles or the yolk-free ones to keep it even lighter. As for the chocolate milkshake I suggest Reduced fat chocolate frozen yogurt and low fat Silk chocolate soy milk. That just came to me and sounds quite good!

    Erica,

    Thanks!! 🙂
