Lunch

Fun Sunday

I got what I was craving today for lunch: An Evos soy burger and air fries with an iced green tea to drink. It hit the spot. Sometimes a girl just needs fries, right? After lunch, Ryan went fishing with some friends and I, um, went shopping at Anthropologie (I bought myself a birthday dress—my birthday is in a week and a half and I figured I deserved it…). I got an iced coffee with soymilk on the way.  🙂

I’ll try to snap a photo later on of the dress. My mom is picking me up in about 10 minutes and we are headed to the movie. I’m wearing my new dress of course with silver flats. It just seems wrong not to look cute when going to SATC, even if it is my second time seeing it in less than 24 hours.

Ryan and I are either making pizza tonight (buying the dough from the pizza place we like) or picking up frozen pizzas at the store and just baking them here. I have a HUGE project for school due on Thursday that I haven’t even started and I’m starting to get a little stressed out about it so I might try to work on that later tonight and I’m bringing my laptop to the car place tomorrow to work while my car’s oil is being changed. Remember when I had to create my own cake for cakes class? Well this time I have to great my own custard based dessert and write a report on it. We are making our desserts on Friday for the final practical for the class. I’ve given it some thought and chosen to do a chai tea bavarian creme surrounded by a vanilla/chocolate sponge cake, fashioned the same way as a Charlotte Royal. I need to figure out more specifics though and type it all out!

Hi Jenna! I just wanted to say that I’ve seen SATC twice too! lol. It was just as good the second time as the first.

I have a question though-how do you cook your steel-cut oats so that it results in more volume? My experience with steel-cut oats is a skimpy serving when compared with old-fashioned rolled oats. Your bowl this morning looked delicious! How did you prepare it that way?

    Thanks!

Your mom is too cute! I’m going to see it tomorrow night and can’t wait! I’ve never even heard of EVO’s but it looks good!! Question: I got stuff to make dal today except i got a regular bag of lentils instead of red lentils…will they still work? and how and how long do I soak them and cook them when making dal? I’m new to indian food and LOVE it!
