Hey guys!
This is quick because I’m rushing out the door for the second day of barrel tasting. It is GORGEOUS outside today!!! I guess if I don’t actually get to participate in barrel tasting, the second best thing is working it?
Last night I was e-x-h-a-u-s-t-e-d. Ate a piece of flatbread with hummus and tofu (plus an unpictured pear and 2 super charge cookies) for dinner
I literally went to sleep at 10 and it was awesome. Definitely got my zzz’s and this morning woke up early and made a pancake for breakfast!
Used 1/3 cup kodiak mix and topped my creation with 1/2 cup yogurt, pb and berry syrup. Plus a morningstar farms soy sausage for some protein power!
I wrote for awhile in bed while my breakfast digested and then I hit the road for a quick 2 mile run. I’m doing a long bike ride tomorrow so wanted to keep my workout light today…but I feel so much better after sweating a bit!
And I’m out the door! Gotta make a coffee and gas pitstop then its to the winery for the rest of the day. Come visit me if you are in the area! ๐

March 7, 2010 at 9:41 amIt’s nice to see you are running again. I’ve got crazy shin splints and I’ve been having to keep my running to 1-2x per week. I got shin sleeves though and they have helped a lot. We shinnies gotta stick together ๐

Great combos – how do you find tofu?
Also – your writing …do you ever feel “fed up” with it sometimes and frustrated…aka “start/stop and thousands of crumpled ideas in a waste basket” sort of thing?? ๐
Or does this just mean it’s not meant for me…

March 7, 2010 at 8:36 pmRandom QUESTION: Does your millet bread really stick together–I can’t get the pieces apart, even with a butter knife. Freezer burnt or normal for the food for life bread??

July 29, 2011 at 4:51 pmJenna, I liken these ‘everyday’ posts you do in addition to your recipe posts ( which are always awesome and always turn out, duh. I need to send you pics of recipes I have tried of yours!)
I worked in the wine biz for many years and I totally understand the dynamics of tasting versus working it. I feel ya girl!
