Gearing Up For Day Two

Hey guys!

This is quick because I’m rushing out the door for the second day of barrel tasting. It is GORGEOUS outside today!!! I guess if I don’t actually get to participate in barrel tasting, the second best thing is working it?

Last night I was e-x-h-a-u-s-t-e-d. Ate a piece of flatbread with hummus and tofu (plus an unpictured pear and 2 super charge cookies) for dinner

IMG_4816
I literally went to sleep at 10 and it was awesome. Definitely got my zzz’s and this morning woke up early and made a pancake for breakfast!

IMG_4818
Used 1/3 cup kodiak mix and topped my creation with 1/2 cup yogurt, pb and berry syrup. Plus a morningstar farms soy sausage for some protein power!
I wrote for awhile in bed while my breakfast digested and then I hit the road for a quick 2 mile run. I’m doing a long bike ride tomorrow so wanted to keep my workout light today…but I feel so much better after sweating a bit!
And I’m out the door! Gotta make a coffee and gas pitstop then its to the winery for the rest of the day. Come visit me if you are in the area! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s nice to see you are running again. I’ve got crazy shin splints and I’ve been having to keep my running to 1-2x per week. I got shin sleeves though and they have helped a lot. We shinnies gotta stick together ๐Ÿ™‚

Great combos – how do you find tofu?
Also – your writing …do you ever feel “fed up” with it sometimes and frustrated…aka “start/stop and thousands of crumpled ideas in a waste basket” sort of thing?? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Or does this just mean it’s not meant for me…

Am laughing head off at the French Blague poster above re starting the day with wine, no pancakes, no wine. I start the day off thinking French. Did a post on Sexiness Hall of Fame…that realized started thinking about while drinking hot chocolate in Annabells on Rue Rivioli. Can’t WAIT for Jenna’s posts from Paris, it will be summer heaven for moi. http://bit.ly/DbPaj

Random QUESTION: Does your millet bread really stick together–I can’t get the pieces apart, even with a butter knife. Freezer burnt or normal for the food for life bread??

Jenna, I liken these ‘everyday’ posts you do in addition to your recipe posts ( which are always awesome and always turn out, duh. I need to send you pics of recipes I have tried of yours!)

I worked in the wine biz for many years and I totally understand the dynamics of tasting versus working it. I feel ya girl!
