Hello
I just got back from a 90 minute hot power flow yoga class and I’m just a big, open ball of love (and sweat) right now as a result. Looots of heart openers, back bends and chatarungas….I think I FINALLY found a studio that I love here in California and I’m asking for classes from Santa
. I miss my home studio sooo much and nothing compares, but I think this place might grow on me.
When I got home from yoga I was half starved and threw together a monster salad for lunch—

I used spinach, leftover kabocha, cucumber, red bell pepper, a falaful sunshine burger, hummus and hot sauce.
With half a mango on the side—

+ double bergamot tea

Time to crack down on writing! There’s a potential tofu party at Hardy’s tonight…stay tuned!

I love the way you put salads together that look amazing…any tips on grocery shopping for things that could work to just go in a huge salad? Always looking for ideas
I used to eat at least a mango everyday when I was young. I swear I rarely get sick because of it! So delish!
Lol, I’ve never heard of a tofu party, that’ll be something to look out for
Yumm! OKay I guess I need to go make myself some lunch! Glad you found a yoga studio that might work!
I had Kabocha squash last year in my CSA box and didn’t like it. With all your raving, I picked one up at Whole Paycheck and I’ll be trying it soon. Hopefully, it’s better than last years!
Yum, mango!!
Hoooray, I am so glad you found a studio that you like. I recently changed studio’s when i started my yoga teacher training and have fallen in love with a new place. I never thought I would find a place that fit the way my first studio did but now, I truly feel like I have come home.
Hot yoga, something I’ve always wanted to try but have never gotten to. Maybe some day!
I wanna go to a tofu party!!
So glad you found a yoga studio you enjoy!
I always feel better after a good yoga class
Tofu party would not be on my list, but I’m sure it will be a blast!!
Love the tea mug!
Yoga + tofu…what could be better!
tofu party! wow, sounds like fun!
jenna
Sounds like fun!
Enjoy!
Hey Jenna…will you post your favorite way to prepare kabocha squash? Thanks!
Great looking salad! oh and congrats on finding a good yoga studio
That’s great that you found a good yoga studio– it can be pretty hard to find a good one. A “tofu party,” huh? I’m intrigued
It is so hard when you find a studio & teacher you love… and then you have to move. I have finally found THE BEST yoga teacher in SF (in my personal opinion). Let me know if you want the details… He is amazing.
I still miss my yoga instructor from freshman year of college — and that was almost 6 years ago. Congrats on finding a new place
Your salad looks great! Congrats on finding a new yoga place too!
The mango did look amazing. I am horrible at trying to cut them apart tho.
Jenna, it’s fantastic that you finally found a yoga studio you enjoy! The best yoga studios just give you this sense of reassurance once you walk in the door; it’s incredibly calming. Your hot power class sounds super… backbends are the BEST!
You’re convincing me that I need to get back to yoga. Glad you found a studio you like!
Haha Jenna I don’t think you’ve had a boring dinner yet in Cali.

Yummy looking salad!

Looks like a scrumptious lunch!
The salad and mango look so refreshing!
I’ve just started doing a hot yoga class that I love. There’s something about the heat that makes it more of an experience than other yoga classes. I felt so cleansed!
I had to get a kabocha after hearing you talk about it all the time…I just roasted it and man it was so good! Thanks for the new food tip!!
Salad looks yummy!
Tofu party! Sounds like fun! Can’t wait to see a recap!
Your salad looks delicious. Mango is still delicious in California?! Man, I’m jealous!
Tofu party??/ sounds coool. can’t wait to see the pictures;-D
Your salad looks lovely! And fresh mango…yummm.
So happy you found a great yoga place. I feel like that’s the one place you can leave just feeling the weight of the world lifted off your shoulders even if the poses kill sometimes! Speaking of which, I need to hit up yoga this week!
Santa is coming……..
Love Dad
Tofu party! That sounds amazing, and something that’s specifcally foodie oriented. Haha. Have fun lady!
Your Cali friends seem like so much fun!
Tofu party? Take pics!
.
Glad you found a great studio.
I don’t go to studios often now – expensive(!) and honestly it takes too much – at least a 1/2 hour drive…so I try to do it at home – try being the operative word. Oye – I suck lately
Your salad looks good – uber duber healthified if you ask me!
Oh and that’s great that your parents are coming to you – that’s what it’s all about anyhow -family and friends. Cheers girl
How are doing with getting the wrting done? Any writer’s block?? Fears? Love to hear about it!
I read an obscene amount of wedding blogs, and it seems like everyone who is gorgeous get’s married in Healdsburg. I keep peaking at the pics of guests, expecting to see you in the background. Spotted any fabulous weddings since you’ve moved?
There’s a tofu party at Hardys?! That is pretty much the best thing I have heard all day! YES!
The salad and mango looks so good! Hope the tofu party was fun, let us know how the food was!
Finding a studio you love is great. I wish I had more options around here. We only have one studio locally and they are okay but not great. I take classes occassionally but usually just end up doing it at home. I miss the studio I went to in Colorado that was awesome.
