Hey guys!
So, this morning I was all set to do an hour of yoga in my living room but ended up only doing 40 minutes and then just laid on the floor on my mat for an extra long savasana. It was very much needed….sometimes the best sort of practice is when you just can lay and be still with your thoughts.
Here’s my savasana playlist
This playlist is actually called “smooth rider” in my itunes. How lame am I?! I heart the Elizabethtown soundtrack big time…one of my very favorites that is currently in my disk changer in my car!
Lunch was pretty boring. Sorry about that!
Just a turkey, hummus and provolone sandwich on Arnold double fiber bread with an apple. Munch, munch, munch. Drank some apricot white tea as well.
I’m heading to the studio from 4-7:30 this afternoon to log a few more hours at the front desk. No class tonight though…..I’m saving my hours for my favorite lunchtime flow tomorrow!
Be back!

September 15, 2009 at 1:25 pmI noticed that you have some Ryan Adams on your playlist – my all time favorite! If you want a fun, high energy song of his to run to check out “Magick” from the Cardinology cd. Super fun song.
BTW, love your blog. I check it out every day but this is my first time posting a comment!

September 15, 2009 at 1:42 pmI’m a huge Amos Lee fan. He played here at the Minnesota Zoo two summers ago and I went and saw him. SO GOOD! I’m glad that you got some much needed relaxation in 🙂
Nothing wrong with your lunch either! Sometimes the simple lunches are the best.
Have fun at the studio this afternoon!

September 15, 2009 at 1:55 pmHey Jenna.
I LOVE your blog. But I have been away for a couple of weeks and am confused by your post regarding the tailor remarking that you’re single …and now you’re living at home. Did you make more life changes? Can you give us an update?
Respectfully….curious…
Sandra.

Hmmmm yes! The never ending soap opera, which is my life, continues. Ryan and I broke up about a month and a half ago and I currently live with my parents while I get ready to make my next big move…..

September 15, 2009 at 2:13 pmLove the playlist! Most of my playlists are pump-me up running tunes – two of my favs are “Lose Yourself” by Eminem and “Electric Feel” by the MGMT. Your lunch looks very wholesome 🙂 Those are the best kind!

September 15, 2009 at 3:47 pmI love creating workout playlists. They are so motivating and inspiring. I share your love of Ben Harper and Amos Lee. I’m also super excited for your trip to California. I live in San Jose, just south of SF. Can’t wait to see pics from your trip!
Inspired by you and the other Healthy Living Summit bloggers, I just started my own blog at http://www.frostingandfroth.com. If you get a free minute, please check it out. 🙂

September 15, 2009 at 6:55 pmHey Jenna,
I have been practicing yoga on and off for awhile and have recently been having trouble making a fluid movement from down dog into warrior one etc. I keep trying to step my feet between my hands but quite often I just can’t make it that far. Do you have any tips for this? Or for making a fluid jump from down dog to the front of the mat?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Lynna

September 15, 2009 at 8:47 pmtonight at yoga i realized why i love it so much. when your world is pure craziness and you feel like youare just going to breakdown- a quick session of yoga always fixes it!!! i wish i could have stayed in savasana longer tonight too but i think the class would have lookd at my strangely if i just stopped doing yoga half way through ahha
