Girls Night In

Hey y’all!

I’m having some very necessary catchup time with my roomie while watching Sex and the City movie (yaaaay!) so this might be a bit brief. Forgive me!

This afternoon I snacked on my favorite pb&j kashi crackers before going out for a run.

I drove out to Lake Eola to do a three mile run…my shins were a little sore but runnable. I did a little under 3 miles (I ran 3 laps around the lake) in 25 minutes and burned 300 calories. Not too shabby! I love it that my heart rate is steadying out a little more when I run outside now. A sure sign that my body is getting used to it and I’m improving!

After I ran I came home, showered, and headed to Pei Wei with the roomie. LOVE this place!!! We ordered edamame to start:

And I got my favorite: the pad thai with tofu and veggies.

What I always do at places like this where I could easily stuff my face, eat the entire bowl and then have a tummy ache later, is get a to go box and box up half before I even start my dinner. This little trick works WONDERS because then you can clean your plate and feel great about it! And, you have lunch for the next day!

After we ate we hightailed it over to blockbuster, determined to get SATC before it was all gone! My roomie has never seen it!!!!!! Ahhh!!!!!! So, I ate a brownie and we started the movie.

I have to study for my cost control test and finish my project while watching the movie but it’s worth it. I hope y’all have equally of amazing evenings and I will check back in the morning!

    Hey Jenna,
Did you ever make the banana blender cereal I wrote you about? No worries if you didn’t. I was just curious what you thought of it if you had!

    Sarah,

No I didn’t because I don’t have any flakey cold cereal to use! I marked it down though to remind myself next time I buy cereal I should buy some so I can try that!

Of course I don’t mean to be bossy and say you must try it! It’s just that it’s so good lol ;). I wonder if it would work with oats. Now I think I’m going to have to try that! Also, I think now I am going to have to make brownies thanks to you, because that brownie is jumping off the screen at me!

That dinner looks delicious! I don’t know how I went so long without trying tofu!

I’d skip the brownie though – I don’t have a sweet tooth, however, if it was popcorn or pretzels, those are like crack to me!

I’ve never seen Sex and the City movie either. Is it appropriate for an almost 17 year old daughter to see?

We have Sundays all to ourselves while the boys watch football.

    Hey Jenna!
Are there are nationwide chains that you order a “favorite” tofu dish from? I’m from Cleveland – we don’t have a Pei Wei up here, but I’m really interested in trying some new tofu dishes. If you have a chance – let me know if there are any huge chain restaurants you visit that offer tofu on the menu. Love your blog! 🙂 Congrats on your pinning today!

Did you like the SATC movie? I was a huge fan of the tv show and have it all on DVD, but I found the movie was a little lacking.

    Jess,

Awww I actually LOVE it. I’ve seen it three times now! Twice in the theater :). I’ve heard some people didn’t think it measured up but I just love it!

    AlliJag,

Hmmmm Honestly I really don’t eat at a ton of chain restaurants so I don’t have a favorite dish! Other than Pei Wei of course. I really don’t care for the tofu at PF Changs and always order the shrimp there instead. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful! 🙁
