OTOH, I will often use a banana or pureed prunes with chocolate -- that works for me. But I've always found baked goods with applesauce to be dry. I love, love, loved the Time Traveler's Wife. I read it several years ago, long before there was a whisper of a movie, and have reread it several times over the years. I've always been fascinated with the time travel theme.
