Hey!
I made it out this morning and had a great hour ride! Took a new route and it was gorgeous. Hilly, but really pretty. Unfortunately I forgot my water bottle (hate that) but just filled up a lot when I got back in.
After my ride, I ate a super charge me cookie, took a nice long walk to loosen up my legs and then came home and rolled around on my Yoga Tune Up therapy balls for a little bit. The balls are made with a special rubber compound that grips the skin and grabs at muscles and connective tissue. When I ran long distances, I LIVED on my foam roller but I think I like these little balls even more because they’re so portable and easy…plus, unlike the foam roller, you can position these little guys right where you feel the pain.
Lunch was a HUGE salad! I’ve definitely hit my greens quota for the day, no? π
I used spinach, red bell pepper, avocado, leftover roasted chickpeas, hummus and salsa with a kiwi and a TJ’s whole wheat middle eastern wrap on the side. These wraps are delicious and super chewy!

I’m off to write for a couple hours then work the desk at the studio before heading to Napa for an Echelon Gran Fondo event tonight!

March 3, 2010 at 12:19 pmSo great that you’re doing the Gran Fondo charity ride! My morning might have been smoother if I had started with one of those cookies instead of the Girl Scout Do-Si-do I grabbed on the way out the dor π

March 3, 2010 at 2:14 pmI have yet to try hummus in a salad. I’m not sure about the mix of textures but, since everything that I’ve tried after seeing it on your blog tasted good, I may as well try that too! Salsa must be good too, I think I’ll try to do my own!
