Well, $5,908.00 raised…100% of which goes to cancer research through the Livestrong Foundation!!!!!!! I’m just amazed and thankful to have been given this opportunity and, most of all, thankful for all of YOU who made it happen. I haven’t picked the winner yet but just wanted to touch base. Tonight I’m going to count all the people that donated (people that donated more than once will get obviously more than one tally) and then enter that number into a random number generator to get the winner. I’ll contact the winner this evening before 10pm EST and also announce it on the blog as part of my evening post.
Whew!!!
Speaking of the bike, I just got back from my old house in Healdsburg and lugged it back here with me. I finally got everything out of the old house, did a total deep clean and brought the remaining odds and ends back here. I’m telling you…moving is exhausting. It doesn’t matter if you move 25 minutes away or 2,000 miles away. I’m beat!
I’ve been going since 9:00 this morning and my food has been random and eaten on the run. I also fit in 25 minutes on the elliptical machine somehow. Haven’t done the elliptical in like 20 years and…..it felt the same. I was a hamster on a wheel. In a good way. It was actually welcomed and refreshing after only cycling and running for cardio during the past three months. I actually liked being a hamster for a change!
Trying to drink TONS of water and also grabbed this beet, celery and carrot juice + a shot of wheatgrass at whole foods before meeting my writing pal for a quick meeting

May 20, 2010 at 3:14 pmYour appetite sounds delish for being an “off” day. Moving is definitely a workout. I bet you’re glad you’re finished! : ) I’ve got to add frozen cherries to my freezer. Chocolate Cherry Bombs sounds uh-mazing.

May 20, 2010 at 3:15 pmGlad to see that you’re all moved in! Maybe after the ride this weekend you can relax a little bit. 😉 And don’t forget to trust your body. Just keep eating and drinking when you can, and you’ll be prepared.

May 20, 2010 at 3:27 pmGreat job again with the money you raised for such a great cause.
My appetite is weird like that too…it has a lot to do with being too busy to think about eating versus actually not being hungry. When I’m just sitting around? Thats when I think about eating!

May 20, 2010 at 3:56 pmHey Jenna! Just wondering, I donated $60 (to buy 3 tickets) but I did it all at once, as one lump sum…is that bad?

May 20, 2010 at 4:28 pmI just had a good time trying to figure out what the alternate spelling for “hamster” would be. Hambster? Hamstir? Hamstar? Funny when your mind convinces you something doesn’t look right, even when you know it is!
Laura
May 20, 2010 at 4:47 pmI am forever typing words into outlook with the automatic spell checker turned on because they just look wrong. It’s always the most simple ones too, glad I’m not alone. Congrats on the fundraising, that is a huge effort!

May 20, 2010 at 4:52 pmI’ve Googled more words than I’d like to admit over the years to make sure they’re spelled right! Better safe than sorry! And your hunger might be off from nerves. I remember the week before my half last year my hunger was nonexistent. (Admission – I just Google “nonexistent” 🙂 )

May 20, 2010 at 4:53 pmThat’s soooo awesome that you raised nearly $6K!! Any and all of those juice drinks sound great right now. Did a 3 HR power walk around Carmel/Beach etc…am bushed and actually having a small glass of Chardonnay while trying to decide what to fix for dinner as all have had all day is some strawberries with vanilla yogurt. I need a Genie to pop out of the fridge with something delicious already prepared, piping hot, beautiful and on a pretty plate.

May 20, 2010 at 5:08 pmGreat job on raising that amount of money.
Just wondering if you went to see the Amgen Tour since Lance was there? One of the stops this week was in Santa Rosa. Just thought since you were raising money for his charity you would go and see this event.
Hope you are resting those legs for your big ride this weekend. Best of luck to you!

May 20, 2010 at 5:09 pmI was planning on going two days ago with some friends but then it poured and was 45 degrees so we didn’t end up going. Awesome, though!

May 21, 2010 at 8:59 amBummer you didn’t get to see Lance because now he is out of the race. There were plenty people out in the rain supporting, I was impressed.

May 21, 2010 at 12:25 pmHi Jenna,
noticed you put something called maca in your smoothie today. What is it? I just tried to look it up online and all I got was info on ancient warriors using it for strength!?
