How Many Crumbs Equals One Brownie?!

Hello!

Hope your afternoon was great. I chugged down two of these (Amazing Grass Berry SuperFood)—

And one of these (nonfat pumpkin spice latte)—-

And snacked on these—-

While I baked THESE!

These really aren’t good for you at all and I don’t even remember the last time I baked old fashioned brownies like this…. but heck, they are absolutely delicious! Perfect for tailgating, parties and picnics 🙂

Double Chocolate Walnut Brownies

1/2 cup flour

4 eggs

4 ounces unsweetened bakers chocolate

1.5 cups walnuts

2 cups sugar

1.5 tsp vanilla extract

2 sticks butter

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325. Melt the chocolate and butter together on low heat. Remove from heat and add the sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well to thoroughly combine (I use a whisk for this). Fold in the flour, salt, walnuts and chocolate chips gently. Don’t overmix. Spread batter into a prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.

I’d be lying my pants off if I told you I didn’t a) lick the spoon or b) eat massive amounts of “crumbs”

Brownie overload.

Despite eating my body weight in brownie crumbs, I still enjoyed a delicious dinner over at the Created house with my bible study girls this evening. We had delicious chicken, salad and fruit that another girl from church had made and brought over for us—I was so thankful to be a part of it and share a meal and fellowship with these amazing women. It really made my entire day complete. And they LOVED the brownies!!! 🙂

Storming outside and I’m ready for my pajamas and bed! Waking up at 5:30 for the big 8 miler.….gahhh wish me luck and pray for my achy left shin! I have strict instructions for my dad to come hunt me down in the car if I don’t return within an hour and a half. Recap in the morning!

    Crumbs never count 🙂

For some reason I never thought to get a pumpkin spiced latte iced. I guess because up here it is cold when they come out so I don’t usually order cold coffee (I make it at home when I’m all warm and snuggly on the couch). But if we get a nice day I might have to give it a try.

I’m glad you have a plan for in case your shin bothers you. I would just end up crying on a curb somewhere if I was in pain.

Never had the famed Pumpkin Spice latte, but it’s on my list. Wow, are those brownies decadent. 4 eggs, 2 sticks of butter, and lotsa sugar! Phew! Nothin’ like a good, old-fashioned gooey brownie, though — that salad and fresh fruit definitely balances it out. 😉 Please, do be careful about sneaking tastes with the raw eggs, though!

GOOD LUCK on the run. YOU CAN DO IT!

Haha, I’ve given my mom similar instructions about hunting me down if I didn’t return from a run, but it was due to the freezing weather, not an injury.

Hah, I am the queen of crumb eating. I get all noble feeling and say I don’t want any of the baked good and then eat the equivalent of three in crumbs.

Oh I love brownies but I rarely make them because they are so bad! But they’re popular in my house! In Australia they’re often served with coffee or as a dessert with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate sauce.

Brownies are great…and it’s ‘healthy’ to eat them once in a while. Why? because they make you happy!
    Enjoy your weekend:)

I made brownies yesterday too and I did the same thing you did.
Lots of spoon lickage and tons of crumb eating. That’s the best part…those gooey warm crumbs from the hot brownies. Oooo, it’s heavan and those intsy little crumbs don’t count at all. 😉

Glad you had a great day/night. GOod luck on the 8 miler!
