I Wear My Sunglasses Inside

Well, I fell asleep at 9:45 last night while reading this book and woke up at 7:50 so what does that make me? I guess I just really needed that ten hours of sleep. I feel pretty much like a new person today and am really glad I busted my butt to get all that stuff done yesterday. So nice to wake up in a totally clean apartment while wearing clean pajamas.

I feel even more proud of myself that I finally finished putting together my new bedside table (from IKEA). It’s been sitting in bits and pieces on my living room floor now for over a MONTH! The boyfriend started putting it together then things got really busy so I just decided to take matters into my own hands. It looks really good and you would never guess that one drawer is in backwards.

Don’t worry about that. It still is fully functional.

Breakfast was overnight oats:

With 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup almond milk, 1 container Siggi’s, 1 tbsp nuttzo and one banana. Plus earl gray tea.
Off to go get my yearly eye exam done. I’m pretty much blind as a bat and wear -6.0 contacts in both eyes. Someday I’ll hopefully get Lasik but not right now. The only reason I like going to the eye doctor is because it’s an excuse to wear funky sunglasses inside.

You know how I roll.

Oh Ikea furniture, how I love that it’s so easy to do things like put drawers in backwards (something I’ve done on numerous occasions). I’ve actually got that exact table- it’s perfect for cramming tons of books inside for bedtime reading πŸ™‚

My SIL had Lasic when it was very new! She loved it, she used to have to wear the very thick glasses! And both of my sisters had it done a few years ago too and just love it! I may do it in a few years as my eyes get worse! They are not too bad so far! I just hate having to wear glasses every day! And the clip on sunglasses just make me look old! Have a great day Jenna!

I was legally blind! It was so ridiculous. I remember being afraid of doing anything that might potentially cause one of my contacts to fall out (swimming, etc.) So I saved up and got Lasik and it was seriously the best decision I ever made! I highly recommend it when you’re feeling up for it!

I am annoyed with myself that I don’t understand why a visit to the eye doctor means you can wear sunglasses inside?

I have only been to the eye doc once, 8 years ago, when my eyes needed a little help reading when I got tired. I still have those glasses, but I rarely need them now.

In other news, will I be seeing you in August or not?! I hope hope hope so! If not you might find a surprise guest at your door one day.

Hahaha because they dilate your eyes and you need to wear shades to see cause your so sensitive to light!

I just made four different trips to the eye doctor to get contacts. I’m so blind that up to this point the only contacts I could wear were the hard lenses. I told my doctor I wanted to try soft and it took a while to find a prescription that probably is as good as it’s gonna get. I don’t know exactly what they are, but with one near-sighted eye, one far-sighted eye, a lazy eye, and AWFUL astigmatism, my vision is a mess. πŸ™‚

Wahoo for the “blind as a bat” peeps! -7 (with astigmatism, oh and the start of cataracts) up in here…and last night I was driving and having trouble reading the street signs and I was really hoping my eyes were just tired or I need a fresh pair of contacts but I don’t want my eyes to get any worse! I need my eyes to stay stable so I can get LASIK when I can save up the $$$, but the doctors won’t do it if your eyes are still changing/worsening! Blahhh….

What brand of oatmeal do you use for your overnight oats? I use some organic irish oats and trust me it comes out horrible every time I try to do the overnight mix. And I have tried several different measurements for the liquid/siggi’s yogurt to oats ratio- NO luck- Yours look so good so i am hoping that your brand is one i can find in syracuse, ny.

Facebook is back up. The company provided TNW of your following note on what went wrong via a technical perspective:Earlier today we made a change to our DNS infrastructure thinking that change resulted in some people being temporarily unable to reach your website. We detected and resolved the condition quickly, and we are now back to 100 percent. We apologize for any inconvenience.Facebook has been encountering some DNS issues this afternoon that are making it unavailable to many users globally.
