Hey guys!
Sorry for the late post; I’ve been running around all morning long and just now finally sat to get some work done.
This morning I had my last breakfast with Kevin and Eli….I’m thinking the three of us should form a breakfast club, but that’s just me.
I brought them Amazing Grass goodie bags, naturally.

Yes!

I had yogurt, granola, fruit and a piece of country bread with jam.

After we ate the guys headed down to San Francisco and are catching a red eye back to Atlanta tonight. It’s been a total and complete blast getting to know them though and I’m hoping to see them again at a few food and wine events in the upcoming months.
After breakfast I finally got my butt in motion (no pun intended) and went and joined Parkpoint, the health club here in town. It’s just something that had to be done….it’s starting to get colder and I can’t just do yoga on my floor every day. This gym is super nice and has a ton of great classes, plus it’s only about a mile from my house. Today I did 25 minutes on the elliptical (didn’t hurt my ankle!) followed by triceps, biceps, back and abs. Finally!
And then I went grocery shopping for the first time in weeks. No picture because I had about a million and one things in my arms but lots of fresh veggies, veggie burgers and yogurt.
Lunch was a HUGE salad with heirloom tomatoes, 1/4th of an avocado, a light babybel cheese and carrots, topped with hummus & hot sauce…obviously! With a yogurt on the side:

I’m working from home all afternoon and have SO much to get done, including tackling my inbox which currently has about 250 emails in it. If you emailed me in the past 4 days and I haven’t responded, I’m going to get to you now! I haven’t had a second with all the Top Chef stuff going on but I plan to get back on track today. Also have some Amazing Grass stuff to take care of and a few freelance articles to get done.
See you in a bit!

Haha, you’re so sweet for making “goodie bags”
And that lunch looks so fresh and nice.
Have a great day!
That breakfast looks perfect.
Glad you’re able to exercise without hurting your ankle! I bet that’s a relief.

I want to go to a meal with you and have you bring me Amazing Grass goodie bags!
Sad that you had to say goodbye to the boys, but exciting that you joined a new gym! I love joining new gyms and getting to try out classes etc.
Hope your afternoon is productive!
good luck with all your work!
Your new gym looks great!
Great goodie bags!
i love restocking the fridge with fresh veggies and fruits! yay
That’s great that you joined a gym- so helpful when it’s cold outside!
Quick question… Was the Top Chef stuff you were going to for the show? I know they are in the middle of the season right now!
Matt,
They are friends with hardy, who works for Murphy-Goode, and we just thought it would be a blast!
So glad you were able to do the elliptical without it hurting your ankle! hoooray!
I want an Amazing Grass goodie bag
Restocking the fridge is always fun!
New gyms and groceries! Sounds like a good day to me
Glag your ankle is healing!! Woohoo for you:)
Do they sell those bars at a grocery store or are they ordered online?
Thanks,
Lindsay
Sounds like a great workout! It must’ve been like going home again to be in a gym
I’ll die if I see your goodie bags show up on the Top Chef reunion show or something!
Glad to hear your ankle is on the mend!
I want a goodie bag looks delish!
So happy to hear your back on the exercise train. I know injuries suck when they take too long to heal.
LOL I think don’t think your life will ever be calm again now that your hob nobbing with the food and wine elite
Pretty sure your floor is the most famous floor on the internets
Salad looks wonderful! I think I would aaaalmost choose an heirloom tomato over chocolate, I love them THAT much.
Wow – 250 emails! I can’t even imagine girl!
I love the healthy goody bag love. Way to pay it forward with nutrition!
Congrats on joining the gym. They are helpful in the cold months when it’s too cold to venture outside for a run. I tend to be gym shy (they can feel really sterile to me) but man, strength training has changed my life…or at the very least, my legs.
I wouldn’t have blamed you if you were in a coma from all that excellent food and wine.
What a whirlwind – way to go, hitting the ground running…
yumyumyumyumyum that lunch looks awesome! sounds like another fabulous day!!! see you in san fran this weekend?
Love the Amazing Grass goodie bags! Glad your ankle is feeling better
I definitely think you need a breakfast club with that duo…
Are you ALLOWED to just crash the hotel like that and have breakfast with the guests who are staying and paying?!
Sounds fun…
I will bring you a placemat for that floor when I come next week!!
I will bring you a placemat for that floor when I come next week!!
That salad looks phenomenal!!
Nice work on getting to the gym! I haven’t been enough with all the school work I’m doing. Sometimes life just gets too crazy
Obsessed with Top Chef. More obsessed with Kevin (hope he wins). So jealous/happy for you!
West coast is treating you right.
xo
I am dying to try Amazing Grass!
I’m a top chef fanatic, so I’ve really enjoyed living vicariously through you the past few days
congrats on joining the gym!
jenna
Such a beautiful salad, YUM!
Enjoyed your Top Chef experience recaps, thank you so much for sharing so much with us!
I was so excited to see you hanging out with Top Chefs! I’m crossing my fingers that Kevin wins this year!!!
Since you joined a gym, does that mean that you’ve given up on finding a yoga studio? Or did I just miss a post somewhere… I SO love Top Chef – one of the reasons I haven’t been able to go to a lower level of cable service! I am jealous – jealous of your job, and jealous of living in CA where you can get fresh veggies more than just 3-4 months out of the year. Not only do they not taste as good, but they’re really expensive out of season, too! I will live (eat?) vicariously through you until summer comes to OH again.
