It’s Scarf Day!

Happy spring scarf day!

Today the brand new spring line launched from fashionABLE and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. I mean just LOOK at those gorgeous colors!!! I’ll take one of each, please.

It’s obvious I’m a big fan of the company, and after meeting the women face to face who make these scarves last summer in Ethiopia, it’s safe to say that I’ll be a big fan for the rest of my life. Your purchase really does help change lives. It’s one thing to read that online, but when you are there….giving hugs, holding babies and sharing stories…it touches on a whole new level. It makes it personal. I talk about my trip to Ethiopia often on here because it really was one of the most meaningful experiences of my entire life and I want to continually share that with others.

Check out this latest post by fashionABLE founder, Barret Ward, to read an update from Meselu, one of the women who make the scarves.  I met both Meselu and her little boy, Eyob, while visiting the headquarters. It literally brought tears to my eyes this morning to read that because of all the scarf purchases from you guys, Meselu is able to send him to school. And he’s doing SO well!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

So yes…I am currently crushing on all the new spring scarves! This morning I ordered this gorgeous one made by Meseret. It’s more medium/heavy weight than the other scarves and is perfect for rainy and chilly spring weather!

I also ordered this beauty below. Such a great pop of color!

And finally, this pretty sky blue scarf made it’s way into my shopping bag. Oops. I just couldn’t resist. Blue is my color and I don’t have many solid color scarves. Totally justified that, right?

Now I also REALLY wanted this lovely below…but a girl knows when to cut herself off when it’s time. Sigh. I’ll be back for you, pretty striped scarf! You’re as good as mine.

And triple yay! fashionABLE is offering free shipping now until Friday using the code SPRING at checkout. So stock up!! Cute scarves + great cause…it’s a no brainer.

Happy Wednesday!

Eat, Live, Run is not affiliated at all with fashionABLE and I don’t receive any compensation for your purchases. I just love their mission and their scarves! Happy to share!

    Jenna,
I remember when you first wrote about fashionABLE in your blog; I thought it was so amazing!! It is my dream to travel to Africa to help those who need it most! This past week, I actually got to participate in the ONE Power Summit in Washington, D.C, with the ONE Campaign (we were lobbying with congressmen to help those who are suffering from extreme poverty and preventable diseases). At their merchandise table, they had some things from fashionABLE, and I was so excited that I just couldn’t resist getting something. It is so inspiring to know how purchasing these accessories is blessing women who truly need it. There was a note attached to the scarf I purchased that said, “Because of you, I am ABLE to provide for my family.” It gives me chill bumps just to think about. 🙂
Thank you so much for all that you do!
    God bless,
    Abigail

These scarves are beautiful. I especially love the navy, cream, and pink one. I wear a scarf almost every single day. I don’t consider myself to be trendy or fashionable girl so wearing a scarf always makes me feel put together.

Beautiful! That first one especially calls to me, but I’m on a tight budget right now. Nonetheless, these would make such lovely gifts – making a note of that for future reference!

    That first scarf is beautiful.

I’ve almost bought the leather handbag (Tigist in chocolate brown, I believe it’s called) a few times, as I believe you said you had it and raved about it. I finally bit the bullet and bought it, as well as the scarf Meseret. Now I can’t wait for them to arrive!

Thanks for the morning inspiration 🙂
