Jump to the Weekend

Happy Friday!!

Reason 19200 that I love my new schedule is that when that clock strikes 12:30, my weekend begins! No more waiting until 11:30 at night! I finally have my Friday nights back!! 🙂

I slept pretty well last night but my shin is sore this morning. Bleh. It usually starts feeling better as I walk around so hopefully that’s the case.

I made some good old fashioned oatmeal this morning with 1/2 cup multi grain cereal, 1 cup soymilk, 1 tsp flax, 1/2 banana, 1 spoonful peanut butter and 1 tsp brown sugar. I forgot to put the banana in the oats while it was in the microwave (I think I was still asleep) so I just had to chop them up on top. Still good though!

It had that perfect “stick to your ribs” feeling. YUM!

And for a snack, I’m bringing this little lovie right here:

Today I have a quiz in Cost Control and we are tasting Champagne, sparkling wines and some Reislings in class. I hope I like the Reisling…I would like to find one that I like because usually I don’t really like sweet wine! Wine tasting on a Friday before the weekend starts…does it get better?! Haha 😉

Have a great morning, y’all! The weekend is so close!

I prefer my wine to be something between sweet and sharp. That’s so vague, isn’t it?

Be safe on your drive. I’m in a suburb of Houston (Kingwood) and we have that ginormous monster Ike barreling our way, so it should be an interesting couple of days…!!

Have a great day! I am the same in terms of Riesling. Ick! Let me know if you find a good one. I just can’t handle the intense sweet.

If you’re looking for a good, affordable Reisling, Hogue makes a good one that isn’t overly sweet and is generally in the $10 range (and can be cheaper if found at Trader Joe’s!)

Ah you lucky girl, enjoy your fabulous wine tasting! Now that you’re an expert 😉 I was hoping you could help me figure out which wine tour I should take my parents on when they visit. I know you’re super busy but if you (or anyone else for that matter) could look at the links and tell me which one sounds best I’d be forever thankful! Here are the choices:

    Aconcagua Valley

Enjoy your Friday night! And good luck on the quiz…you seem pretty confident. What kind of questions will be on a cost control quiz?
