Breakfast

Last Day

This morning I tried some new granola I picked up from the store for breakfast. It’s called Back to Nature Organic Cherry Vanilla Granola and it was okay. I mean, it was good, but not my favorite. Something about the taste was a little off. I think it was the cherries, which were super tart. I’ve tried this brand’s Cranberry Pecan granola and loooooove it, so maybe I just picked the wrong variety? Oh well, I jazzed it up with almond milk and banana and it was quite filling!

Haha, I totally associate the last day of Spring Break (although subconsciously) with the last day on earth. It seems s.o. sad. Enjoy the rest of your day though! And at least the sun is shining in Fla 🙂 It’s pretty dreary here! Thanks for the return comment too! 🙂

This is kinda off the topic of food, but I was wondering if any of you are familiar with Ayurvedic Medicine. I’m really interested in learning more about it, and was thinking of picking up a book about it. However, there are soooo many on this topic. Could any of you recommend a good one on this topic?

Would you mind sharing the name of the restaurant, I love looking at menus to learn about different types of foods.

Also, could you post your guacamole recipe?

Here’s the link to the restaurant: http://www.ceviche.com/

My guac. recipe is the simplest thing you will ever make. Take an avocado, mash it. Add some salsa, sea salt and lime juice. Eat.

Hey jenna! wow-you look so tan^_^ (I’m jealous!) I LOVE just lazing around on my friend’s boat all day-best thing in the world!

I HATE how fast the breaks always go by (fall, winter, spring, even SUMMER!) It’s like “Hey! I just started! It can’t be time to go back, it just can’t be!”

Now I do have an actual question: what is a paella? It looks delicious! I love veggie dishes (do you think I could make this at home?).

Have an awesome day!!^_^ *i love grocery shopping-maybe too much? lol!

    jenna and everyone here –

i think i am going to have to go dairy-free for health reasons…i am curious as to whether your opinions on what taste better – rice milk, almond milk or hemp milk???

Your dinner looked yummy last night!

we made the cheesecake muffins… SO amazing 🙂

thanks everyone! I truly appreciate it!

Mandy A–I’m lactose intolerant and have tried many varieties of milk substitutes (except hemp milk). I enjoy almond milk. The plain variety is sweet, but not too sweet and adds a great hint of flavor to cereal, oatmeal, smoothies, and baked goods. Just my preference!

    Mandy:

I like almond milk better than hemp milk. Hemp milk is a little too rich for me. I haven’t tried rice milk…. I wonder what it tastes like!

    Jenna:

When you eat granola for breakfast, how much do you eat? I don’t really eat granola too often because the serving size just seems so tiny.

I am sorry that your spring break is over…. but that also means that you are one week closer to graduation!! I am happy for you that you had a great time relaxing and havig fun with loved ones! 🙂

    kay,

I really don’t measure out a quantity. I just pour some in the bowl. I trust myself not to pour half the box in the bowl, obviously, I sort of just eyeball it!
