Lunch

Letting Loose

Well we are leaving for the game in an hour and I’m all ready! I mentally decided that today will just be one of those days where I eat and drink whatever I want and I’ll just get back on the wagon tomorrow. This is probably the only game I will get to go to all season so I better live it up, right?! Truthfully, I LOVE college football.

Before I went to College of Charleston, I went to University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!!!) and, of course, went to every single football game and not without a huge southern meal at the sorority house beforehand. It’s so funny to me that we got SO dressed up for games back then. Seriously, all the girls would wear cocktail dresses (with rainbow flip flops) and have their hair done up in curlers…..and sometimes have flasks taped to their inner thigh… but that’s another story.

WOAHHH I look totally different here?! Here I am, 19 years old, with my friend and sorority sister, Amari before headed out to tailgate for a Bama football game. Check out the pearls. Please.

Wow. I’m on a roll—couldn’t resist not showing you guys this one! Blast from the past (haha we were at a Roaring 20’s party!):

ANYWAYS! Today I’m wearing shorts, the blue gator polo shirt Ryan got me a couple years ago and sneakers (with my insoles in them. haha I’m a dork).

I decided to go with a good old fashioned pb&j on an ezekiel english muffin for lunch today. I was going to have turkey but then I figured I would probably have a burger later and that’s a lot of meat….so I turned to my friend the peanut for lunch. 🙂 I also had another chobani because I’m a yogurtaholic and a pear.

This lunch will work well because its a great combo of fat, protein and complex carbs.  Who knows what or when my next meal will be. But I wouldn’t be Jenna if I didn’t go prepared with snacks:

Hopefully there will be none of this going on:

And yes, I was about 10 -12 lbs heavier in this picture that was taken during my junior year of college. Just goes to show you drinking puts on the pounds!!!! We were at the Carolina Cup horse race and clearly I was out for the count. And sitting in the dirt. We live, we learn!

Have a SUPER Saturday! I won’t be back until around 3 am so I will post tomorrow huge photo recap!!

Can’t help but laugh at loud at you sitting on the ground!! *lmao*

And what’s this about flasks taped to your thigh?? That is hilarious! I LOVE sports so I’m really glad you decided to go to the game…you will have a blast I’m sure! If you have any more dirt pics we’ll have to see them! I know what you mean about the whole too much alcohol=extra lbs. I went through that phase too and it makes a HUGE difference not only the liquid calories you consume, but the amounts of food when you are so buzzed that you don’t care! **shrinks down** Not that I’ve ever been that way…!

I just caught up my blogs this morning, I see you had good dr. appt yesterday. That is the best news! Congrats! So run, Jenna, run! Yay for you!

Wearing dresses for football games was just about the opposite of my college experience, but how fun! You were so cute in college.

    Have fun.

Have fun!! College football isn’t really that big in Canada so I was always a little jealous of the college team spirit of our southern neighbors 🙂

My boyfriend is from Alabama and is OBSESSED with college football. I hear “roll tide” all the time especially after last weekends game… It is kind of funny how they love their football.
Have a great time at the game! I am sure that I will get the re-cap from the boy…

You still look pretty tiny at 20lbs heavier. You’re lucky the frosh15 didn’t hit you in a more obvious way. I actually didn’t gain weight until AFTER college; I like to be different. 🙂

    Kim,

I was an Alpha Chi Omega! 🙂

    Anne P,

I transferred because I was tired of greek life being so central to everything, I didn’t like having 200 kids in my classes and I missed the beach….it was fun but Charleston was absolutely perfect 🙂

Good call 🙂 I heart Charleston. Although I have always thought that going to a big school with ginormous mansions as sorority and fraternity houses would be fun 🙂 (i went to a small private school). You got the best of both worlds!

Jenna, this is the best post of my life. I love reminiscing about being a silly college girl- it is so fun to see you “back in the say.” And you of course were just as beautiful back then as you are now! So glad you had fun at the game- thanks for sharing your photos with us!
