Lunch

Love Me Some Banana Bread

Hi kiddies!

I’ve been out and about running errands and going to the jcrew and polo outlet! I didn’t buy anything but I tried on some stuff……I COULD have bought things but I need to save, save, save! Before I left I had a filling lunch of the rest of the Annies Mac & Cheese (with tuna) and roasted root veggies:

This morning I also baked some banana bread:

And snacked on an applesauce while it was in the oven

I haven’t had any of the banana bread yet but I’m sure I will as a little snack here in a minute. Right now I’m icing my leg in hopes of a later afternoon run.

I hope yall are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon—I’ll be back after dinner!

hi jenna! I love sundays too. Your blog just makes me smile. You really do have such a sweet personality and it shows via the internet! ha. Your Bible Study sounds great. Have you ever been to Women of Faith conferences? I love Luci Swindoll and those ladies. Also, have you ever read anything by Karen Kingsbury? She is an AMAZING author and I bet you’d love her books!

p.s. Hope your shins feel sweet on your run… be careful and hugs for a great one!

    polly,

No, I’ve never had a chance to go to WOF but I’ve always wanted to…maybe next year. Since high school I’ve been involved with a non profit Christian group called FOCUS….or fellowship of christians in universities and schools. it’s primarily in independent schools on the east coast, but brings middle and high school kids fellowship and the chance to attend camp up in martha’s vineyard during the summer. I’ve never read anything by Karen Kingsbury…I’ll have to look her up! 🙂

    Hi Jenna,
My grocery store has pomegranates on sale also. I have never had one before, but I am really interested in antioxidants(cancer prevention). What do they taste like? And is it easy to get the seeds out, some special technique?

    sharon,

What I do is quarter the pomegranite and put it in a huge bowl of cold water. Underneath the water I get the seeds out with my fingers. The seeds sink to the bottom of the bowl and the white part floats to the top. Its easy and not messy at all! I LOVE the seeds on greek yogurt especially! They are like little rubies!
