Well, I made it!
Thank you all for such kind comments earlier….I’m still feeling pretty awful but at least I’m now at home. I don’t even know the last time I spent the entire day in bed. Usually I just try to fight through it but today, my body is aching so badly that the bed is the only place I want to be….and I’m still not comfortable there!
On the way home I had a pear:
And then when I finally got into Tampa around 1:15, I stopped and got the only thing that sounded relatively good to me—pita pit! When doesn’t the pit sound good?! I had my usual whole wheat pita with hummus, avocado, spinach, jalapinos, banana peppers, onions, cucumbers, black olives, pickles and hot sauce.
Hot college sweatpants in the background. Yeahhh
When I got home, no one was home but my mom had turned down my bed and left me some goodies:
New Shape magazine, cute hair pins and a big ice cold glass of pure apple cider :). I’m actually on glass number two of the apple cider. Usually I don’t really care for it that much but today my body seems to be craving it! It’s like when you have the stomach flu and crave ginger ale…I can’t get enough of it.
My family is out getting the Christmas tree right now and I’m STILL in bed. I got up a little while ago to take a hot bath (which I don’t think you are supposed to do with a fever but oh well) and it felt aaaamazing to my aches and pains. Now, I am back in bed. I honestly don’t feel like I can move! I think Ryan is going to stop by later and we are going to decorate the tree. No greenwise date tonight—I have zero appetite but I’m sure my mom will be cooking up something.
See you tonight!

December 5, 2008 at 4:03 pmTHAT IS SOoo cute of your mom!! 😀 I’m sure that alone makes u feel so much better…clean, crisp sheets always put me right to sleep. Pita pit helped too i’m sure!?? I found one here in LA, it’s a tad far from me but ah, so worth it!!! I actually looked online after reading about your rave reviews- how do they cram all that deliciousness in there!??? I love that they grill up the turkey or falafel before putting it in too. I hope you feel better, have fun with the bf and fam!

December 5, 2008 at 4:33 pmHey There. Remember to drink lots of water. If you can choke down an orange – that’s a great natural source of Vit.C. Stay hydrated. Don’t push it just because you’re home. There is just TOO much of this going around. From Florida all the way to NY apparently. Take care of you.

Enjoy the weekend, hopefully you start to feel better. Moms are awesome! Your mom is so sweet to get you those little presents, give her a big hug! (or at least from a distance if you are that sick!)
