Today was quite simply, a perfect Saturday. Prepare yourselves for total photo domination.
Lots of cute photos of babies, flowers and cupcakes ahead. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
I ran a couple miles this morning before gulping down this bad boy for lunch that was literally made with half a bag of spinach. I was glowing!
And then I headed over to one of my favorite places, the Kendall-Jackson Food and Wine Center for Farm Stand!
Farm Stand is, pretty much, a big farmer’s market that will be taking place one Saturday a month over the summer at the Wine Center. There were plants for sale, cupcakes, cheese, produce, cookies, bread, and of course, wine. I don’t really go places unless there’s wine involved. See a trend?
Justin, the head chef at Kendall-Jackson, did some cooking demos with fiddlehead ferns. My favorite! Besides tasting delicious, isn’t just saying fiddlehead ferns fun?
It was very interesting. And, we got to sip some Sauvignon Blanc while we watched. More wine!
What could be better than wine and fiddleheads you ask? This little cutie pie right here.
That would be Justin’s baby, Delaney. She gripped my index finger and wouldn’t let go. I coveted her bonnet.
I have an affection for baby’s feet? I love to pet them and stare at tiny knitted boots and socks that might fit them. There’s just something about tiny toes that gets me every time.
Ali showed up and we shared a chocolate coffee cupcake in the sunshine:
Ryan said he used Blue Bottle Coffee in these babies…..oh my, so good!
Such a fun day. If you are in Sonoma County for the next Farm Stand on June 5th, you must stop by!
I’m back home now and desperately need to shower. I can only sport the whole sweat slicked hair thing for so long. Thank goodness for big sunglasses and perfume! Headed to the boy’s house tonight for a BBQ and to ease my sadness over my Kentucky Derby loss by watching Seabiscuit. I had Ice Box for the win….so sad. So close.
shower power!

What a fun looking day! Glad the sun is shining on both coasts
Seabiscuit–they should have that on television tonight instead of Meet The Fockers. Blech
It looks like the perfect summer day! I didn’t get the chance to visit the farmer’s market this morning but am going to swing by tomorrow to pick up some goodies.

I am jealous – I want a Farm Stand, or any other kind of farmer’s market actually. Hopefully the ones that crop up in Athens over the summer are as good as yours seemed to be!
What, no pictures of dogs with shoes on today?
Actually, the baby in the bonnet is just as wonderful and cute!

That event looks amazing! Your photography is beautiful.
Hi Jenna-You are such a Doll! What is it like for your whole life to be public? Do you live your life for you, or do you think about how it will look on your blog?Something sacred is lost in such a public life. It is prudent of you to have kept your relationship private. You are young, like me, and I think that life can be so special and intimate, kept a bit more private. I wish you all the best and all the happiness in the world
Oh I can’t wait till the farmers market opens here in SLC. Cute sunglasses by the way and love the bangs!
Looks like you had a totally fun day! I wish the sun was out here…I’m about to go o an8mile run, and it’s raining, cold and windy :’(
I share your affection for little baby feet! They are so tiny and don’t have the same stigma grown up feet!
Wow, great pictures. You’ve had GREAT weather, love your sunglasses
Beautiful photos, what a wonderful day! Did you get my email about Friday’s post with your interview?

What a fun day!! Those fiddlehead ferns might be the coolest edible thing I’ve seen.
You take fantastic photographs, love them.

julie,
anthropologie! thank you!
The Farm Stand looks like so much fun. Ive never heard of eating ferns, but they look interesting!
Great pics!!!
lol…I was just gonna ask “did you get those sunglasses at Anthro?” I’ve gotta get to this event-looks like so much fun! I’ve always wanted to try those fiddlehead ferns…
Beautiful pics–I love your photographer’s eye. Also, I’ve been wanting to try fiddleferns since I first saw them in my organic seed catalogue. Any cooking recommendations?
Also, I’m in Kentucky btw, in terms of Derby: I may not have bet on Super Saver, but I sure bet on Calvin Borel. Seriously, he can enter the Derby next year on a Shetland Pony and I’m still putting a tenner on that man.
I love your blog! I’m very curious about the green smoothie-lookin’ thingy. Does it actually taste good? Can you post a recipe?
What is the recipe for that green smoothie?! YUM!
