Monday Blues

Hello everyone!

I’m not having the best of days today and am pretty frustrated over some issues going on right now but I’m hoping that some exercise will cure me! My headache is pretty much gone but I’m in desperate need of a killer massage because I have the knot the size of a tennis ball on the back of my neck still :(. For lunch today I made something I could take on the run while I ran errands—a protein shake. I really didn’t feel like a traditional lunch anyways because I felt so crappy and this was the perfect thing.

Into the blender went: 1 frozen banana, about a cup of soymilk, 1 scoop protein powder and 1 heaping spoonful almond butter. I call it the chunky monkey 🙂

It was really really delicious and the perfect lunch while on the go. Its been a couple hours now and I’m still full…probably from stress but I’m sure all the protein in the smoothie came into play as well! I spent the afternoon cooking stuff for the week and studying for Capstone tonight. I think I’m going to take a break in about an hour and go to the gym to do legs. I was going to do cardio as well but I think I will save that for tomorrow when I feel better.

    Days like that are the worst =(

    Seems like if my morning starts on a bad note, the whole day goes like that!! So I try just to think that maybe I’m getting all of the bad things over in one day, rather than a few stressful things everyday!

    jenna, i have a suggestion for you. Call the Florida College of Intergrative Medicine (FCIM) and schedule an acupuncture appointment. They are down near Sand Lake Road… It’s only $15 for your first visit and you may be able to get in today. They may be able to give you some massage therapy as well! I promise it will help!

    i hope your day improves 🙂
    i had a close friend who suffered from dibilitating migraines like yourself and find success with propanolol (inderal) a blood pressure medication. i know its not for everyone, but just a suggestion. take care.

    Jenna — You’ve mentioned problems at home a couple of times… Hope everything is ok with you and your family and that the issue resolves quickly.
