Breakfast/ Lunch

Movin’ It

Hi guys!

Sorry for the late post today but it has been crazy! Ryan and I woke up at 7:15 and headed over to St.Pete (30 minutes away) to pick up his friend’s truck then we drove over to his parent’s house, loaded the furniture in the truck, drove back to our apartment, carried it all upstairs and drove the truck back to St. Pete. It’s 2:15 and we are just getting home!! Of course none of this would have been possible without food….here’s what I ate!

For breakfast I had a bowl of steel cut oats (1/4 cup oats, 3/4 cup water) with a banana, a spoonful of almond butter and a 0% fage stirred in.

It kept me going for a couple hours until I snacked on a large juicy peach and a small handful of almonds while we worked.

And then Ryan treated me to lunch because we did such a good job. Isn’t he nice? 😉 We went to the BEST little cafe in St. Pete and I had probably the best sandwich of my entire life. I don’t know if I was seriously hungry (Ryan claimed I would have thought dirt tasted good at this point but I disagree) or if it was just really really amazing. I’m going with amazing. It was roasted turkey breast with honey mustard, smoked gouda cheese and tomato on grilled sourdough bread. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! I was moaning with pleasure after the first bite.

Turned into this in about 2 minutes flat:

I was hungry!!!!!!

We are in the midst of a huge thunderstorm right now so I guess swimming is out for the afternoon. We did stop at Target though and get me some sweet goggles for when we go tomorrow:

Sheer hotness right there folks. 😉

We are going to go to the gym though anyways and I’m going to do some legs. Lifting all that furniture really wasn’t as bad as I thought this morning. It was pretty easy actually. It was pretty light and only three pieces. We felt really good though that we didn’t have to waste money and hire people to do it! What a productive Saturday! haha

Tonight we are going over to Ryan’s Grandmother’s house for dinner. She usually is up in North Carolina but was having a hard time breathing so she has been in the hospital and now she’s on an oxygen tank :(. Tonight is just a big family dinner where we get to spend time with her.

See you in a bit!

Your sandwich experience reminds me of that famous line from the movie When Harry Met Sally, where the woman says, “I’ll have what she’s having.” Haha 😉

Sounds like a busy, fun-filled day – have fun tonight!! I do hope that Ryan’s grandmother’s health improves!!

Ha! what a great photos 🙂 I always love “action” shots.

It is great being able to move your own furniture when you can. Moving companies are SO expensive especially if you have to mover more than about 1/2 hour. When we moved last fall it was just over an hour between cities and it ended up being way cheaper to have the movers move the biggest, heaviest furniture or really fragile stuff while we rented a uhaul and packed and unpacked all of our boxes and smaller stuff. It took an entire weekend plus some, but it saved us hundreds of dollars. Gr, I don’t like moving, can you tell?!

Hot goggles! Looks like you’re getting ready to date Michael Phelps 😉

That sandwich looks delish… but then, ANY sandwich containing melty smoked gouda is going to rock. Smoked gouda is one of my favorite cheeses ever.
