Hi guys!
So sorry for the oddly spaced out posts….please bear with me as I transition….I feel like everything is so “off” right now! I’m sure everything will all fall into place really soon—I just need to get my car and my apartment. I’m having a blast with Rocky and Adam but there’s only so much futon a girl can take.
Meet Adam:
And Rocky:
But then there was this……..
And get this: before this happened, I was so nice and made these boys stovetop oatmeal with honeycrisp apple, cinnamon, honey and almond butter:
I feel oddly like a mother right now.
I had some yogurt with mine for extra staying power since I haven’t been taking a lunch break till 2:00:
Love it: I’ve been staying with the boys for like four days now and already have them chugging Amazing Grass and eating oatmeal and almond butter. Muhahahaha 😉
Since we had another Harvest Luncheon this afternoon with Zin, I scored some more amazinggggg food!!
This was sort of random but really good nonetheless. Leftover salad, green beans with fennel, yogurt, half a muffin and a honecrisp apple.
But then…….
Oh.My.Lord. Vanilla bean panna cotta made with goats milk FROM THEIR FARM with honey roasted figs that were just picked THIS MORNING!!! I usually don’t eat dessert at lunch but…um yeah….who passes this up??! Not this girl. It was fan-freakin-tastic.
Highlight of work: tasting a 1997 reserve cabernet sauvignon. Unbelievable. I’m being spoiled big time.
And then…..I had the most amazing night thus far in California. The guys picked me up from work with a jetski and my bathing suit and we headed over to Lake Sonoma just as the sun was getting ready to set. Y’all pictures just don’t do this justice at all….you know those moments that take your breath away? Yep, this was that. Probably one of the top 10 moments of my life, actually.
It was absolutely breathtaking but FREEZING!!!!!!!!! After a few more scenic shots, the three of us headed to downtown Healdsburg to grab some sandwiches for dinner. We went to Bovolo, a great sandwich shop in the square the does everything local and gourmet. Y’all are totally going to hate me but my camera DIED as I was about to take sandwich shots!!!! I know…I know…..it totally sucked. I had a roasted eggplant panini with arugula pesto, mozzarelle and roasted peppers. It was amazing…I took photos with Adam’s pro camera but it doesn’t seem to be loading at the present moment but if I can get it going by tomorrow I will post them in the morning!
Currently sipping on some Terra a Lago Murphy-Goode cab and calling it a night. I’m totally wiped out and really want to run in the morning before pouring wine at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair all day tomorrow. Life is crazyyyy!
Gooooodnight! 🙂
