Ryan and I are back from our adventure on the high seas! And there I am, trying very hard to reel in one of the THREE sharks that I caught! I didn’t get any all the way reeled in though because they all broke my line right near the boat, but it was still exciting to have something huge on the line!! (I never catch anything) haha 😉 I really just relaxed and read my magazine all evening…as you can see!
Before we went though, I tried one of my protein shakes that I got today at Whole Foods. I’m going to wait to make the full assessment on the product until after I try the chocolate one because I really don’t like strawberry flavored drinks and that’s the flavor I tried. It was great if you like strawberry but I prefer chocolate. I mixed it with water and a frozen banana in the blender and it got VERY smooth and creamy after only a few seconds. No hard lumps of dry powder here! The taste was really good (again, if you like strawberry). I think it would have been a lot better also if I would have thought to mix in frozen strawberries as well. One packet of the mix (equal to one scoop—110 calories worth) made a HUGE shake. I filled my thermos and gave the rest to Ryan. It made one full thermos plus another full glass. I loved the texture though and am excited to try the chocolate once I get back to Orlando. This was a great, satisfying snack though on the run!
We stopped at our local grocery store to grab subs to take aboard the boat tonight. I got a 6 inch roasted chicken sub made with fresh rotisserie chicken on whole wheat bread. On my sub I got honey mustard, a slice of pepper jack cheese, jalepinos, olives, lettuce and onion. I also got a nice big peach to have with it and a huge bottle of water.
It was really yummy! I ALWAYS get turkey subs and wanted to branch out today because I saw all the rotisserie chickens roasting up in the deli. I ate my sub around 6:15 and around 8:30 ate the z-bar that I had packed for dessert!
Ryan and I didn’t catch anything major. He had a huge grouper on his line but it broke off as well. We went about 8 miles out in the gulf though and it was gorgeous just as the sun was setting. We are back now and totally exhausted, smelly and ready for bed.
See you in the morning!

July 27, 2008 at 10:51 amHey Jenna! I have not commented in a while but saw on your last post that you are going to the Snoop/311 concert tonight! I got super excited when I read that because I went to the same concert this past Tuesday in Virginia Beach (that is where I’m from)!!!!! YAY for Ryan loving 311, it’s my favorite band too. They were AWESOME as always and Snoop was really, really good too (and super fun to dance too)!!! The concert was a blast and you’ll have to do a full recap of it the next day and let me know how you liked it!!! I’m not a huge Snoop fan either (haha) but he was seriously so much fun to just let loose and bounce around too. HAVE FUN!!!!!
