Breakfast/ Dinner/ Lunch

Pass The Vino

Gahhhh sorry for disappearing! It was one of those randomly crazy nights and I didn’t get home till late, late. GREAT food though!

Trying to figure out where I left off yesterday…..ah, lunch. I met the cute boy for Japanese after working at the studio for a few hours. 😉

Pink sushi? Obviously. I ordered the lunch special that came with two rolls, miso soup and salad. I’m honestly not quite sure what these rolls were exactly, but they were tasty. I especially liked the one on the left—spicy salmon I think?
I REALLY was not feeling the workout yesterday. The weather was being bizarre and I just felt a little run down with my migraine and all (I can still feel it behind my eye right now…it looooooms!) so I took a break. It’s important to be kind to your body, especially when training for athletic events! Sometimes I get so caught up in what I should be doing and lose sight of how my body feels. Because I’m going home tomorrow for a week I’m taking a break from cycling and even though I hate to admit it, that stresses me out a little bit because I know I should be training harder for the Fondo. However, I plan to keep up with my running while I’m out of town and go to my old yoga studio in Charleston and that makes me happy. Maybe a little break will do me good. 🙂
Anyways, for snack yesterday I had another slice of banana bread with almond butter and raspberry jam:

And then I went with said cute boy to a business dinner……of course “business dinners” around here entail drinking a lot of pretty amazing wine and food so there are no complaints at all! We met some great people at the Arrowood house out in Sonoma and tasted a few awesome wines there before heading to Saffron for dinner. Appetizers included these tiny ahi tuna tacos, mussels and sardines (ehh wasn’t a fan so no photo..haha).

IMG_5626
There was some bubbly, Arrowood cabernet and another delicious cab passed around the table…
For my entree, I ordered the king salmon with spinach and asparagus. It was delicious but not very photogenic because it was served wrapped up in parchment!

IMG_5631
I slept in a little late this morning and then had my newest obsession for breakfast:

IMG_0259
Oh Starbucks spinach feta wrap…..how I adore you. I could eat these every day and be so happy. 🙂
I need to pack today, do a short run and run some errands….remember, y’all have until TONIGHT to purchase a raffle ticket for the Avocate giveaway!

See you in a bit!

Cute! Pink sushi!? Did it still seem like seaweed? Or was it some kind of rice paper? Your miso looks good too.

Sushi restaurants where I am only have bento boxes for lunch specials and they’re always served with deep fried tempura or teriyaki, not good. Oh I miss California sushi restaurants… hahaha.

Jenna, I obviously like you. I read your blog daily. But do you not know how annoying it is when someone says “I have a seeeecret but I’m not going to tell”? If you claim to want privacy on your blog, then leave references like these off of it.

Jenna, I have been following your blog for almost a year and I love it! I read it everyday and look forward to when you update it and enjoy reading about your life. I’m also in the process of writing a nutrition book and LOVE the spinach feta wraps from Starbucks (although I have allergies to egg yolks, dairy and yeast, but hey, whatev.) 😉 However, my life doesn’t get put on hold or I don’t get annoyed when you don’t tell us things like who this cute boy is. I think it’s totally sweet you can say you’re going on dates or things on the blog, and whether you don’t want to jinx your relationship with this guy, aren’t that serious, want to respect his privacy or whatever your reason might be, THAT’S UP TO YOU. I can still enjoy reading your blog without knowing every single detail of your life. I know sometimes it’s hard to not get engrossed in the little details…… but it’s your blog. Be you. Don’t let what others think influence what YOU write on YOUR blog.

Sermon over. Have a great trip home!! 🙂
